Over the past four months, a photojournalist documented the lives of five families whose sons had been imprisoned in El Salvador, including their long-awaited reunions.

CECOT left a mark on the men, their loved ones and Venezuela.

Roughly 29% of America’s construction workers are foreign born, with that percentage being as high as 40 in states like CA & TX… paring those #s down w/ an aggressive deportation campaign is sure to only help the housing crisis, especially after the worsening natural disasters we’re seeing in recent decades.

Some big brains really have this all figured out.
The town I live in and the neighboring one were devastated by wildfires almost 4 years ago. There are still houses being rebuilt. Every single construction site that I walk, run, ride, or drive by is being worked on by...wait for it...almost exclusively foreign-born workers. Just about every single landscape or lawn care worker is...wait for it..foreign-born. And so on and so on.

The big brains in dc and their supporters really got this one down.
Do you always assume a person of color is foreign born, or are you just generalizing like usual? In response to a comment that tells you the actual percentage is roughly 29%, no less. In reality, 29% is hardly “almost exclusively”.

Those are most likely low waged jobs. I know landscaping is.  They might make $20 an hour. The owners make all the money.

That’s with all the jobs immigrants perform the owners of these outfits make all the profits and the laborers just make enough to live week to week!

In a shift following the firing and departure of more than 100 immigration judges, temporary immigration judges will no longer need to have experience in immigration law.

Previously, temporary immigration judges had to be former appellate immigration judges, administrative law judges, or attorneys with more than 10 years of experience in immigration law.
