My question is do I need to go to the off day in-between shows to get night 2 poster or will it be available on night 2. I got stuff to do on Monday, like sleep.

It's typically the same poster for both nights.
Sometimes at like Wrigley or Fenway, they will have multiple different posters, but normally they are all available at the same time.

No...every night has had its own event-specific poster on this tour (and t shirt, sticker, button, token)

And no...they aren't available at the same time.

N1 event-specific stuff will be available Sunday am (and I guess if there are any left Mon and Tues).
N2 event-specific stuff will be available Monday and Tuesday.

License plates and skate decks are location-specific -- one for both nights. And will be available Sunday.

All the tour-specific stuff will be available all days (dark matter tees, keychains, dog leash, etc)

I know it sucks, but I plan to be in the merch line Monday am. The nights 2 poster will be available Tuesday but who knows how many will be left.

    Yeah... I don't know what I'm thinking.

I've even been watching them come out on Instagram. I'm going to chalk it up to being tired. Yeah... that's it I'm tired.

I really really want a Raleigh skate deck, but can't get to the arena until like 6:30 on Sunday. I'm really hoping they'll have plates and decks when I go on Monday morning or when I get in the building early on Tuesday since I'll have GA.

I'm waiting to see what comes out to decide if I want the skate deck or double poster. But I figure it's been 20+ years and there's a good chance they never play in Raleigh again so I need something on my wall to mark the occasion haha.

It's time to make certain show specific merch items available to all active Ten Club members online.  Overproduce the shit out of what PJ knows Ten Club members would want to buy as a keepsake for their shows...including shirts, tokens, license plates, posters, and stickers.  Who the F cares about 'limited edition' appeal?  Get the flippers out of the game.  It sucks I went to two shows and showed up very early and still got shut out of all of the above mentioned items.  The only way I can get them now is by paying over 3x their value to a-holes online.  Bad form.

That makes no business sense. Why would they overproduce, get stuck with inventory, and then have to pay staff to distribute merchandise? Only to have fans complain about shipping costs, delays, customs duties etc. The goal is to finish the tour with limited or zero inventory while still making buckets of money. Plus, if they overproduce the unique items they might sell less of the other tour merch.

For my sickness that limited inventory makes me want it more.
Starting to grow out of that, but that chase sure is thrilling!

Offering pre-ordering with your ticket actually makes the most sense.  The only conceivable reasons not to are that its a logistical nightmare, leaves many without work who man the booths, and the hours spent in line offers an opportunity to meet and chat with people.  The hours spent waiting is a bit rough.   As for flippers, if they want to spend hours upon hours in line I'm good with paying them a bit more for something I want.

There’s also a pretty good chance lately that a lot of people who preordered a poster sight-unseen will get mad if they don’t like the poster they get.

Likely. Which is why it shouldn’t be a blind pre-order. Open it up day of show for 24 hours when art is announced. For posters at least. Can’t be fun for them to have this much leftover in the shop these days.

They tried pre-ordering posters sight unseen. 2003? And that is exactly what happened. I have no idea about the lead time on merch but they have a business model that works for them. Given the lines, I would guess they are making more money than ever while still offering cool items and a unique poster every show. Personally, I gave up on merch a long time ago and sold off 95% of my collection. The whole merch thing makes little sense to me these days. But there was a time when it mattered, it just was not as crazy as it is now.

Anyone with an extra N2 Nashville Event specific shirt?  DM me.  Not sure why anyone would have an extra, but I’m trying.  Thanks
  • I'm sort of down the middle on this stuff. I love the merch game and have met so many cool people in line and have had great experiences for the most part. A few not great experiences but, very rarely. It's part of the show experience for me, even if I don't get everything I want.

That said, I would take an online offering if you knew it was just for people with tickets or even 10C with tickets. They also should do a better job when there are multiple shows and days of having show and date-specific stuff available on the day of, and even in the venue.

I also think there should be stricter limits on items people want. There is no reason for someone to be getting three or more skate decks Or two shirts in every size. I don't even love the limit of two per poster. What are most people doing with two? Some might actually be getting for a friend, but I would say the overall intent isn't generous. At least with most posters the last year they have usually had more than plenty at the venue, and then they did have them online too later.

My #1 reason to get in the outside merch line is to not have to babysit my stuff during the show. I remember the days before the outside merch (and no tubes inside!) and I swear I spent half of some shows just making sure the drunk dude around me didn't spill his beer all over my stuff. Not a fun way to enjoy a concert. Having tubes for sale with the poster does help this out quite a bit so that's huge.

With that said, my son and I got stuck in traffic on the way to the Baltimore show last year and had to line up for door-open to get in line for merch. But the same problem exists inside - there were people buying max of everything. A couple people even looked at us strange when neither one of us got the deck.  lol

For the most part, I like the current limit of things for the show specific items (assuming they are enforced of course). Maybe except for tokens from reading through these threads/posts (i have no skin in that as I don't collect/have any of the tokens). Allowing 2 tokens would be better (assuming they produce more of them to go around).

For anyone who has been following this entire thread....

Are posters consistently selling out early or are they easier to get this tour?  It seems like they were easier to get last year but not sure about this run of shows (I have only been to FL1).

Trying to figure out if I can still get one later in the day after the lines have died down.

Went to both Atlanta shows and Nashville 2 last night.  All 3 shows I went to the posters sold out.  Last night in Nashville the posters lasted about an hour after the doors opened.

Agree, with one caveat for the Pittsburgh folks. Sometimes the supplies of tour-specific stuff starts to dwindle by the last few shows, especially certain sizes. This happened to me in Denver '22. I had two other opportunities to get the Army Green tour shirt but decided to wait until the end of the tour. Walked in at doors and went from stand to stand, but my size was gone. Probably still an unlikely merch occurrence, but it happens.

So if anybody wants to help a fat boy out with a 3XL Army Green 2022 tour shirt, message me.

Is it safe to assume all the show posters will be available in the 10c shop like last year?
