I have received no requests to send money.  You can donate or not as you wish.  It's not required.
I, on the other hand, require you send me $1,000,000 for my advice.  We accept monopoly money.   You can also pay by sending one of these:

Yes! Please support our brave women and men in the United States military who defend our Democracy every day. If you are considering sending money to Anonymous, please rethink that and support our troops. Be well my fellow Americans.

Anonymous doesn't do shit. They did this crap eight years ago too. Nothing happens.

Could very well be.  But WE can do something, starting with calling our representatives.  Get the 5calls.org app or check out their website.  It's super easy to use (if I can do it, anyone can) and super helpful.

Be defender of Democracy and call you representative.  Anyone who has time to post here has time to make those calls.

There is no such thing as “enough” support for our troops.

This is correct. Thanks mick.  I was not trying to exclude veterans in my statement of support. I just did a bad job of calling out the veteran specifically. In my blanket statement I certainly had our brave vets in mind. 🇺🇸

Support them, not a radical agenda.

Well, allrighty then, let's shut this thread down.  It did not achieve the goal I was hoping for which was to show gratitude for and examples of those who stand up for democracy.

Wow. So, because someone suggests we show support to our military who literally defend democracy on the daily, and not to Anonymous, you want to close your thread? The thread was titled Support Defenders of Democracy.

Or are trying to control who can post in a public forum by screaming for mods every day?

I do it because it pisses me off when people trash threads.  But since you asked kindly, OK, it stays unless it gets trolled.  I'm over it with trolling.  Standing up to trolling is one of the two freedoms we have left in this country.  The other is committing suicide, and no way am I going there.

Ok, but shutting down a discussion does let them win, no? If that is true, then how is that standing up to them? I'm curious as to your thoughts on that?
It took me a long time to come to understand something about the Constitution, long after I was out of USN. As distasteful and downright abhorrent folks can be in their speech, I  raised my hand and swore an oath to preserve that very thing. Someones right to say shitty things. I then have the same right to respond with a counter argument. Speech isn't free, the consequences are the price that gets paid for that speech.

To me a defender of Democracy is one who stands up for the very things that rub you the wrong way. Because these things are a part of the larger whole. Cant take this piece meal. Its an all or nothing proposition from where I sit.
