    I think the assumption “has failed” is because his approval rating has tanked so sharply. On the other hand, he will never believe he’s not universally loved and his sycophants will keep telling him the same.

    We will. Because the reality is other people want power too. Legitimate elections are the only way to chance that. A Trump lineage guarantees only a handful getting that shot. No way will everyone agree to those terms.

    I'm not saying we aren't risking detrimental things coming. I'm just saying you have all your energy at the start of the race and these guys don't have the gas one month in. 2026 is coming up from behind.

    Not only that, but if those in congress licking his boots see the tide shifting, they are more likely to break with him publicly (as the article also pointed out).
