Couple months ago I listened to every 2005 show, and now I’m ready to jump back into 2006. What are the underrated bootlegs this tour?

I truly believe 2005-2011 was the prime of their live shows.

I’ve already listened to the following multiple times in the past 19 years:
Grand Rapids, East Rutherford x2, San Fran x3, Camden x2, Gorge x2, Marseille, Italy x5, Zagreb, and Athens
2003: Uniondale, MSG x2 | 2004: Reading | 2005: Gorge, Vancouver, Philly | 2006: East Rutherford x2, Gorge x2, Camden 1, Hartford | 2008: MSG x2, VA Beach | 2009: Philly x3 | 2010: MSG x2, Bristow | 2011: Alpine Valley x2 | 2012: MIA Philly | 2013: Wrigley, Charlottesville, Brooklyn 2 | 2014: Milan, Amsterdam 1 | 2016: MSG x2, Fenway x2, Wrigley 2 | 2018: Rome, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 2 | 2021: Sea Hear Now | 2022: San Diego, LA x2, MSG, Camden, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver | 2023: St. Paul 1, Chicago x2, Fort Worth x2, Austin 2 | 2024: Las Vegas 1, Seattle x2, Indy, MSG x2, Philly x2, Baltimore, Ohana 2

East Rutherford shows… very odd that year.  They played the same three songs to open back to back shows in the same city…. Severed Hand, Corduroy, and WWS.  When was the last time that happened before or since?

Almost 20 years later and I’m still looking for an explanation! 😂

Boston 2 is my recommendation. I'm biased because I was there and I'm from Boston but it had the live debut of Parachutes, first Leash in 11 years, and a good mix of classics and deep cuts.

    Encore 1:
Wasted Reprise --> Man of the Hour --> Small Town --> Parachutes --> Black --> Alive
    Encore 2:
Why Go --> Life Wasted --> Smile --> Indifference --> Leash --> RITFW (w/ Theo Epstein) --> Ledbetter

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but that was probably my favorite closing run/encores of any of the 40 shows I've been to.

Albany 2006 is when Ed talked about the "freaks" who come to all the shows hoping to hear a song they never played. Then he dedicated two song to the "freaks."

This is a great show. Great versions of Come Back and Crazy Mary (great audience singing) in the encore. A nice Ocean's opener.Good mix of some deeper cuts and a bunch of Avocado songs

Pittsburgh 2006-first show of the second leg of the tour; Encore 1 included Man of the Hour, Waiting on a Friend (yep, The Rolling Stones cover!), Small Town and (in my opinion) the best version of Black that I have ever heard.

The Italy run is generally fantastic, especially Torino, where Avocado was played in full. Beyond that, I’d highly recommend Portland, Santa Barbara, Newcastle, Brisbane (Night 2), Honolulu, and the standout bootleg of the tour—Lisbon (Night 2)

Listened to Albany at the gym last night. Matt’s drums during the interlude on Marker was next level. I have to finish up the encore in the car today.
Next is going to be Newcastle and it’ll be the only time I don’t skip Alive 🤣
What blows my mind with listening to all these shows over the years is how Ed’s voice changes by the year. 2000 to 2003 to 2005/2006 is so different.
I was really tempted to go back to Halifax, Hamilton, St John’s 2 and Kitchener 2005 but no we’re on 2006 damnit
