I miss the thrill of chasing tickets.  That feeling when you’ve filled out the checkout form and the little wheel starts spinning and waiting to see if “you got the tickets” or an error of some sort.
I miss going to the box office or a record store at midnight and getting my tickets. At least before the internet 70-75% of shows were locals.

And we probably wasted a lot less time standing in line compared to trying to get tickets now.

Like I said, TM and the band couldn't care less about the 10c.  By all means, enjoy it if that's your thing, but EV just literally said on national TV that he hates touring, so the 10c isn't even on their radar, which checks out by the way this idiotic system works.
Bro… I saw Pearl Jam 5 times last fall and seeing them again this spring.  If that is hating touring then sign me up all day.
Dog, nobody is talking about or cares how many times you've seen them.  The topic was the garbage system and how it helps bots and scalpers while the 10c gets shit on.  Someone asked why they don't take the slightest effort to keep 10c tickets in the hand of 10c members and the answer is, they don't give AF about 10c members.  Watch the fluff piece from a couple months ago.  I think they were on good morning America or some dumb show and EV basically said he despises touring.  This isn't the same band from 30 years ago.  They've simply become everything they were originally against.
That's not what he said...at all. Sounds like you need a nap.

I do not think that is 100% true. Maybe more than it used to. And that is why the tours are shorter. May we all have jobs that pay us a million per night.

If we're being pedantic, he was asked if they "still enjoy being on the road" and Eddie said "wrong question" as he and Jeff shared a look and a laugh. The whole interview contained multiple comments about how they love playing music and playing live but people chose to latch onto that quote.

There are tons of interpretations here, but jumping to "they despise playing live" is a stretch. The way I interpreted it was "we're 60 years old and sleeping on buses and planes and in hotel beds away from our families is tough but we love to make music and that's the gig". Nobody loves every aspect of their job all the time. And of course they're not the same band they were 30 years ago you muppet -- none of us are the same. How boring would you be if you didn't change over THREE DECADES?

As for their "cute stunt" with Ticketmaster -- it almost broke the band. I was on that No Code DIY (ie no TM) tour and loved it but it was obvious that shunning TM meant you couldn't play in the best venues in the country -- I saw them in a high school football stadium...in 1996 when they were one of the biggest bands on the planet. They didn't let us down, we (and the other bands who didn't follow suit) let them down. TM and the current state of live music promotion sucks in spite of PJ's efforts, not because of them.

^THIS!  Yes, I think it is hard for him to be away from his girls. They can’t always tour with him when they have school. They love the fans and playing for us but it does come at a personal cost too.

    100% what @PrezIntense wrote here.
This band has always been about the fans. That is one thing that has not changed.

And they keep making new music. They cannot despise what they do if they keep doing it. It may have turned into a profession, but at heart, they write and play music. And they keep playing live. With10c tickets each night they do. The system may be broken, but they are still out there.

Not me. So many times the cashier wasn't ready, or someone in front of me would keep asking to find something else.

Just go back to 10-15 years ago, when there was no waiting room or verified fan. I at least had a good chance to pick out something. Now I get stuck in long queue and nothing will check out once carted, if I can cart anything at all.
