It’s not always, but often the case, that it’s better to wait.  Definitely don’t buy $800 tickets.

Exactly.  They must take the fan base for a bunch of idiots.  Pitt 2 for $948 to sit in literally the worst section of the building.  Anyone that has had the pleasure of sitting on the "floor" behind not only the PIT, but a full other section of floor seats knows that these are anything but premium and are worse than the last row of the upper deck behind the stage.  You'd be better off watching the show from the concourse.
They don't need the entire fan base to be a bunch of fools. Just enough to buy the inventory. The overpriced seats obviously sell or they would've stopped doing platinum by now.
Obviously?  You have no idea if they sell or not.  Are you scouring the arena floor for 2 empty chairs?  No way they are selling a crap seat for nearly a grand.  There are a lot of dumb people in the world, but nobody is going to light an extra $800 on fire to get a worse seat than they can for a fraction of that price.  Again, the "Premium" is just a lame tactic to try to fool people into thinking that's the going rate for the show.  Your assumption does not trump the fact that the same seats have been listed for weeks with no movement and face value tickets to Raleigh are getting zero interest at $175 but you want to believe someone is going to spend $750 for a worst seat because its simply labeled as premium?  C'mon
I'm not saying that every premium listing sells just because it's listed as such. The program as a whole is obviously profitable or they would have dropped it. It's not a matter of thinking that the entire fanbase is a bunch of suckers. Most people won't be suckered into it, but enough will to keep the strategy in place.
I've kept a small log of certain tickets to see what happens.  I've noticed the same "Premium" listings are put up and taken down randomly from time to time.  So, when they go off the board, they obviously weren't sold, just taken down.  Then they relist them to see if any dummy accidently clicks on them.  What I am waiting to see is if/when they get listed at a lower price and what that looks like.  Again, why would anyone buy a ticket for a grand when they can easily grab much better seats for 1/4 of that price?  There is literally nothing premium about these seats.  Its just a premium attempt at a scam.
There are plenty of resale listings at close to $1,000. I think prezintense pointed out a new one yesterday for Raleigh. Someone obviously bought those. We see it every year. Why would anyone do that? Who knows, but they do.
They're actually gone so either someone bought em or the seller decided to keep em.

The site is wonky AF.  The same tickets are listed and delisted numerous times per day.  Nobody bought any tickets to either Raleigh show for a grand.  There's literally zero reason to do that when you can get tickets for 175 and good seats for 250

these were FLR3 row 1 -- I could see someone spending $900 for those. Plus they were F2F so somebody already had paid that for them...

You're right.  I mean it's totally believable that someone would go to Walmart and grab a gallon of $3 milk, then offer to pay the cashier $50 for that gallon, just because it felt right.

If it was the last gallon on the shelf because Walmart was hiding the rest of the stock in the back, and the only other option to get $3 milk was the "Nosebleed" store much farther away, someone certainly might pay $50.

A first row floor ticket has a higher value than many other seats.  It might not be worth $900 if a normal seat is worth $200 but it’s definitely worth something more than $200.  Obviously it’s a score to get it for $200 if possible.

It would be nice if they lost the screen and sold the tickets behind the stage like every other tour.

I had seats behind the stage for both nights in Chicago 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed the shows! It's interesting seeing the action from another vantage point. The screens on the sides showed the action from the front plus they played one song each night to the back.

Obviously being up front in GA is the best view (I was a couple rows from the rail for some shows last year). Side view is a lot better than most people realize too (had that for Baltimore last year).

behind the stage in the lower bowl is way better than anywhere in the second 1/2 or 3/4 of the venue in my opinion

I hate to tell folks because its the best kept secret but behind the stage is fucking amazing. Totally agree that it sucks that they killed it for a (imo) boring screen with squiggles. Also, when you are stage facing, its amazing to see the band completely engulfed by fans on all sides. Hopefully the post DM tours return behind the stage seats.
