Anyone complaining about the PJ ticket prices is insane. My wife just bought two Weird Al tickets for his June 18th show in Vegas for $469. If I get the two tickets I requested for the second PJ show in Nashville, they'll only cost $403. Heck, some of you seem to think it's 1994 rather than 2024, and concert tickets still cost $35 each. These artists just don't earn much from album sales any more, so they tour and sell concert tickets to pay their bills.
This.... and everyone complaining about prices is still gonna try to get tickets.
Not I. Hence the reason I just don't go to concerts anymore regardless of who they are minus a good festival with multiple good acts. Enjoy the show(s)
Hey, DragonsAfter3or4, I might not have anyone to attend the second Nashville show with me (assuming I get tickets). If that's the case, you're welcome to use my other ticket. I could always use another friend!
No option for GA only? I don't want to get stuck with terrible seats.
My PJ buddy scored 10club tickets for Philly 9/7/2024; up in 300 section side stage. We both have similar, fairly low numbers (208XXX). It was one of the best shows ever, and I have seen PJ a lot. I guess if you have a high 10club number and you don't get GA, you may be further back than expected, but you avoid all the TM fees, so why would you not try?? You get 10club tickets with no fees, or you try outside options and hopefully get tickets, God knows where for $$$$. Why wouldn't you try?
A Saturday in Philly with a low number is a no brainer. A Tuesday in Raleigh with a high number could land someone with bad uppers at top price and no ability to discount to sell. When TM opens the floodgates on unsold premiums and other held back tickets at standard price you are stuck either eating the uppers and buying an extra ticket or using the uppers knowing there were face value great seats available if you would have been patient. People can have different approaches to the strategy but that’s why you wouldn’t try.
A Saturday in Philly with a low number is a no brainer. ??? HUH????? You do realize Philly is one of the top markets for PJ. My point was, even being in the rafters, the highest section of the venue, it was one of my top 3 PJ shows. You want to risk not getting the ideal 10club tickets you want and have to go to open market, have at it.

Agreed--this pretty much ruins it for me. Being a member since the 90's, I miss where you could just request GA-they say this is done to give us a better chance--I'd rather take my chances with GA or bust. I got the worse seats on the house last time to all my requested shows and ended up reselling all of them. It was a much better policy to allow GA only request. Sadly, don't think I will be risking nosebleeds. I also lost money on resales last time. Just ugly system. Europe it is from now on..still able to get GA there
as new club member, how likely am I to get tickets to two shows I request? Planning on requesting for Raleigh, but i don't want to request only one and get nothing. Sorry if it's a dumb question.
How long you’ve been a member has no impact on your odds of being selected. It impacts the quality of seats you get if selected.
Yeah I disagree---I've been fanclub member 25+ years and have been given on multiple occasions some of the worse seats in the house--not sure how anyone can explain that to me.

How is it possible as a member since the 90's to get the worst possible seats?

It’s not possible. You must have let your membership lapse at some point.

it is possible, i remember this fall people had worse numbers than me and i pulled floors for philly and Baltimore and others PLUS my nephew got worse seats than me reserved. i'm sure its rare but its possible, its also a matter of what they THINK is better too maybe, but to me FLOORS anywhere are better than seats no matter what, IMO. for sound and energy.

No... floor anywhere is NOT better. Side stage is my favorite if not GA...I threw back first row floor behind GA to sit 3 row up from floor on first section next to stage in St Paul
As someone who is only 5'6, I have to say being three-quarters of the way back on the floor (or perhaps even closer) is not necessarily better than lower bowl seating. But I'm happy for all you tall people that those seats are designed for lol.

It’s a turn off to me that this band is so tied at the hip with TM I don’t want no part of it!
they've been using TM for 29 years straight now! Where you been? Only took a couple years off from TM around 94-95
It is not an issue that PJ uses TM, they really have no choice as TM has a monopoly. What is rubbing people the wrong way is that the band is complicit in TM's more recent selling strategy and dynamic pricing model. Fans are paying more and 10C members are not getting the best seats anymore. The best side seats that used to go to the 10C are now being sold to the highest bidder. Good luck to everyone!
