  • @Santos L. Halper when can we expect the Australian posters to start hitting the shop?
  • Looks like they are going back to work!!! Unfortunately they are being forced to work while everyone figures it out behind the scene.  Hopefully packages start moving soon for us

They haven’t even been picketing at my local post office the last week or two.

Hopefully operations can resume and bargaining can happen to come to a suitable agreement.

Mine arrived this past week. If yours has already shipped they’re being delivered by a 3rd party carrier thereby bypassing Canada Post.

I wonder if the alternate carriers are just for the more recently shipped mystery bags to Canada. I’ve had two shipped early on which cleared customs and have gone no further since ~November 19th, whereas I’ve heard other Canadians with more recent shipments arriving for some of the sizes which shipped later.

Yeah believe that to be the case.

I am in the same boat, Medium shipped first I believe, so mine have also been sitting in Bell Gardens California since Nov 19 stating 'Clearance Completed'. They must be sitting in a bin with a million other items. I wonder how long it will take to get those packages moving in the right direction...Not likely before Christmas but who knows, maybe we'll get lucky.

The early men's mystery bag shipments were UPS > Canada Post. I have 3 in different sizes stuck in Vancouver. 2 already pasted customs with service fee charges. When 10club shipped out the 2xl men's mystery bags, pretty much those few days they were shipped via UPS > Uni Uni. We received the 2xl men's sizes here in Canada. My wife bought something else from the 10club store and that was just delivered yesterday, from Uni Uni. That must of been shipped the same time the 2xl's shipped out. Men's 3xl mystery bags didn't ship out of 10club yet, to Canada. Those are on hold until the strike is over.

Nice I have 2 to be delivered. Would be a nice surprise to get before Christmas. I do expect Canada Post to charge duty on everything coming in now to make up on lost revenue.

Canada Post has no say what gets charged duty and what doesn't, that's all CBSA

Those Uni Uni mystery bag delivers from 10club to Canada, not a penny in customs fees / charges.

Are they like FedEx?  FedEx often does that thing where they delivery the package, then send you an invoice for brokerage later so you can't decline the package.  They're the only ones I remember that do that.  Other couriers usually make you pay before releasing the package.

I think it's the CBSA that reviews for duty, not Canada Post.  Canada post just collects it.  I'm guessing they've got a pretty big backlog and customs will be overwhelmed.  I predict the opposite and they'll let a bunch of stuff slide.

Looks like there may be delays into 2025 for international mail coming in - and there is quite the backlog.
  • Good old Fifo principle to be applied starting this am it seems. First in, first out. Mine hit Canada Post the day before the strike.
