Democrats in the US, what you consider left, is equitable to Canada's conservatives. Our parties, however, aren't as polarized as yours are, so our Liberals are more left than yours, but not equal as far apart from our conservatives as yours are.cincybearcat said:

The shit that has been normalized by Trump and his supporters is just beyond crazy. History is not going to look kindly upon what the US has become.Gern Blansten said:It's just amazing to me that Clinton's AG pick dropped out because they didn't withhold tax on their nanny. trump's AG raped a 17year old and they are trying to hide the damn ethics report.
What a fucking odd time we live in.0 -
But that crazy dude from Toronto isn't running the county. (Which I look at as a Trump equivalent of insanity)HughFreakingDillon said:

What was that guy's name?
Ford?
We had Marion Barry. He croaked before he could be our grand leader.

Another Canadian who thinks they have a clue. Isn't there a Canadian Politics Redux thread somewhere around here?HughFreakingDillon said:

Center-right is center-right. Radical left is radical left. Stick to Sweden.Spiritual_Chaos said:Where on the spectrum is a euroean leftist if the center-right democratic party is radical left0 -
I don't think it's great that a rapist is President and now wants one to be AG. I hope you can explain to the women in your life why and how you support these type of men. Frankly if you support them or get your kicks because it triggers libs that these men are in these positions, well you embarrass yourself and your family with your support of them. Hard to respect men that support rapists. It makes us men look pathetic that so many support such horrible men. but that's just my two cents.teskeinc said:You know when the radical leftists here meltdown it was a great nomination.0 -

I hope the GOP sticks to this...as it should be
And you can bet that if that report will "eventually get out" it should remove Gaetz from consideration right now. How could they confirm someone and then have that report come out (if it says what leaks are showing)Post edited by Gern Blansten onRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

How would Trump supporters answer that question from the women in their life? I’m curious what they would say when questionedPoncier said:

Our neighbors to the North have a vested interest in what happens here. They are affected by our economics policies as much as any country. Also they seem to have more of an idea on how our system works than we do theirs. They probably have a better idea than most Americans.battle1 said:

Not to mention that said Canadian is absolutely right. Most "western" countries are far more about the collective (as opposed to the individual) than the US is. I'm not sure how those weirdo Norwegians have such high "happiness" ratings when they're stuck paying for health care of the lazy, they can get around on foot faster than we can get around by car, and they lazily work 30 hours a week.JeBurkhardt said:

it's perfectly understandable that you don't know how ours works. It's not that relevant to you. But the US being one of the world's superpowers, it is in our interests to know yours. I just find it laughable American conservatives think that we don't know what we're talking about being we live across an imaginary border. A lot of us know a hell of a lot more than they do, which is why we'd never vote for a Trump and they do.JeBurkhardt said:

Oh HFD has a clue. I would bet that he even knows more about the good ole USA than 1/2 of the people who live here. I suggest you go back and read his posts before passing judgment. But honestly, I’m not surprised at all by your response.battle1 said:
