When Linda McMahon ran for school board, she said she had a degree in education. Turns out, she had a degree in French. She called it “an honest mistake.” Woo, boy.

and now we’ve got a TV doc and a tin foil hat guy in charge of the nation’s health.

and don’t let me forget the white supremacist, rapist, TV guy who Trump wants to run the Pentagon.

but, yeah, we “leftists” are overreacting.
He’s a heart surgeon. Highly regarded. Do a little research and stop only listening to Maddow.
P.S. I can’t even remember the last time I watched Maddow or MSNBC. Even so, I’d venture to guess they’re more credible than whoever you get your “news” from.
At least 'truth' seems like an objective for them, unlike some networks where 'truth' is just an inconvenience to be avoided.

exactly...I think Maddow is brilliant but I don't watch her much (sorry teskeboy), but you can't watch her show and say she doesn't give both sides of the story. She is adamant about "why" the side she is arguing against has a certain position.

The radical right would like to avoid talking about RFK Jr.’s lack of qualifications to oversee Americas health.
RFK, Jr. has vast experience in managing trillion dollar budgets, though, including food programs for hungry youth. What do you think he did with the bear meat he harvested from the road kill and the whale meat he found on the beach?

RFK = Rat Fuck Kennedy. Remember that.
When his whole family speaks out against him that’s a clear indication that our country is in trouble.

All true, but seriously, c, but no need to argue with angry people who hate democracy.   I was pissed off with some of those people for awhile, but I'm moving on.  I can't change them.  Time to plan and prepare!  If 47's fans are smart, they'll do the same.  To what degree, we don't know yet, but one thing for sure, shits gonna hit the fan, and we'll all be hit by it.  Better to firm up friendships than try and battle others.
Oh it’s all good.  Definitely not arguing.  I just like how irritated and irrational they become - like you said - even though they won they’re just miserable in general.

The shit hitting the fan is putting it mildly.  It’s centuries old prophecy coming to fruition.  Climate change is a clear example of what’s already been predicted.

I don’t think we’ll see it (us distinguished elders) but it’s coming.
It sure does look like we are headed that way.  And though I'm certainly in no hurry to be dead and gone, if I were told I had very few tomorrows left, I could honestly say I've lived a typical human life span of 73 years, and I've have an interesting life, have had many interesting experiences both good and bad, and pretty much done my best to at least be a half decent person.  But my concern for where things are headed is for my nieces and nephews and their children, and my godchildren and their kids, and my friend's children.  What they are inheriting from us will be a heavy load and nothing as relatively easy as what we have had and of which we still tenuously hold on to.
I often think of the film "Soylant Green".  Even if people don't end up eating people, that film has seemed very prophetic to me since it came out some 50+ years ago. I'd always hoped we could be smart enough to avoid coming to that point, but have also always felt uncertain of our chances of avoiding it.  Hope feels mighty thin these days.  And I think every one knows that, even if they deny it.
So what to we do? Well, keep trying to make things better, and make the best of every day.  Maybe even every minute.
"It's a sad and beautiful world"
    -Roberto Benigni
