    The reason I see it as plausible and that I don't think this is over, is that I believe he has a vision to eliminate the federal income tax.  To do that, you have to have a tariff based economy.  Now the economics don't work today like they did in 1890, but I don't think he has the patience to understand that.  The very wealthy have had a dream of a flat tax for 30 years.  The only thing better than a flat tax is no tax.

    Thats where we differ, among many other areas. I take all of his threats as empty until it actually happens. I cannot fathom why anyone would do otherwise.
