Pit was a TON of fun. Band was on fire. LBC and Unthought were SO good once they got going.

Eddie’s intro to GTF was fucking awesome. So many fuck yous…”fuckers” was extra loud. The place was rocking.

    Good encore

First time in pit for MSG. It was amazing. Kind of hanging out towards the back and my buddy went to grab a couple of beers. He was coming back and I saw a bit of commotion out of the corner of my eye. Some guy was joking with my buddy and pretending to take his two beers. Then they were talking and joking...it was Glen Hansard! I smiled and waved, he winked and pointed at me.  I don't think anyone knew it was him but my buddy and I and the guy behind us.  6 feet away. 2 songs later he was gone, snuck into the pit for a couple of songs. Can't wait for tomorrow!

  • I enjoyed it immensely and for as much we wonder about the shorter shows, you appreciate it when you can make your express bus back home in plenty of time. Outta of my mind was a big highlight, so was Satan's Bed, Amongst the Waves, and Love Boat Captain with that intro.

Interesting set list - plenty bangers left for 2nd night

Great show! The energy most of the night was really good and the band sounded amazing. Stone seemed like he was having a blast and Mike was absolutely on fire. I especially appreciated the variety, it definitely still had that magical feeling of “I don’t know what’s coming next”.  It’s crazy when the same amount of Riot Act and Vs. get played.

Only clunker moment for me was Outta My Mind. Completely sucked the energy out of the room.

Highlights for me were Wreckage, Upper Hand, Immortality and Indifference to close. Hoping to hear Setting Sun, Stevie and Got to Give tonight.

    Can’t wait!

    Solid 6.5
  • Setlist was incredible - Pendulum, Betterman, Immortality opening was so unexpected and a great way to start!  Getting to hear the new songs live was really great - they all fit in perfectly.  Upperhand feels like they have been playing it for 20 years - felt like something off of Binaural live and it was really incredible.  Personally, Out of My Mind,  LBC, Unthought Known and Indifference made this show go down as one of the best I have seen in a while.  I agree about the shorter time on stage - I definitely miss the 3+ hour shows, but they still play with som much energy and Ed's voice sounded incredible.  It was definitely the Mike McCready jam night - he was en fuego!  Can't wait for tonight!

Fantastic night. That’s as good as it gets during this era.Black was absolutely insane and Upper Hand was my favorite of the new stuff.

Inside job seems like I follow me around so I could’ve done without it and I appreciate EV digging deep but that’s my second OOMM and Im good on it.

I stand firm on the screen being absolutely useless. The visuals are meh at best, even the quality doesn’t seem great. It’s such a lesser feel in the room without them surrounded.

Also I do think 3 new ones in a row were a bit too much. I LOVE the songs I just think it’s a tough ask of the crowd in this point in their career. I’m not sure I’d rate this over 2022 though , which is  what’s fair to compare it to.

Technically they were incredible. Never cease to amaze me. All of them blew my mind last night. My voice was gone after Betterman, I don’t know how EV does it

I thought the show was fire!  The band had massive amounts of energy and McCready was stunning in his solos!  Great MSG show for me.  Cannot wait to do it again tonight.

Loved every second!  Highlights were betterman at #2 immortality, satans bed, LBC, inside job.  I loved all of the DM songs but upper hand was just stunning.  Such a perfect PJ song and I agree that they sound like they’ve been playing it forever.  It was my 25th and my daughter’s 3rd.  She has seen outta my mind 2 of the 7 times it’s ever been played!  So funny! Of all of the possible openers though I was surprised to get pendulum. I’ve now seen that one 8 times.  No complaints though.  It’s an awesome song.  Was really hoping to get of the girl at some point among the MSG and Philly shows.  Not sure that’s happening since they played it at wrigley. Overall so much fun last night.  Mike was amazing and Eddie really does sound great!  I was tired after jumping and dancing all show but all of them were running around, up and down the stage steps, on the speakers, jump down, bouncing and dancing all while playing/singing.  AND they are all several years older than I am.  Thankful for my own and their health!

Same. Haven’t missed an MSG show in over 25 years and caught the two LA shows from this tour as well. Last night was my probably my least favorite show of all time. That was def NOT high energy for an MSG show and the set list construction didn’t help. Hoping everyone brings it tonight so we can make the floor shake like the good old days!

Great fun post covid show! The new songs sounded fantastic especially running!  My biggest complaint was a beer was $23! Plenty of merch to go around.  See everyone tonight.

I agree with a lot of this. Other than GTF, which was an all-time highlight, Black was the other standout for me.

The Fear-React-Wreckage block didn’t bother me because I was expecting it (and it wasn’t nearly as bad an idea as the Gigaton block that opened their first post-pandemic show), but I could have gone for one more banger (a Go or an Animal or what have you) after Immortality.

From the other comments here I think this was just a situation where I was in the wrong part of the crowd. I wasn’t really feeling the energy much outside of a couple of spots (and felt the floor bounce only rarely and lightly). It wasn’t a bad show by any means, but I don’t have it in the same class as ‘22.

Tonight will probably be a classic.
