I’m glad everyone enjoyed it, but that one just didn’t do it for me.
Same. Haven’t missed an MSG show in over 25 years and caught the two LA shows from this tour as well. Last night was my probably my least favorite show of all time. That was def NOT high energy for an MSG show and the set list construction didn’t help. Hoping everyone brings it tonight so we can make the floor shake like the good old days!
The crowd absolutely brought it during the hits and even satans bed but yea, 3 new ones in a row OOMM didn’t help. A good thing was I felt EV banter was there but not overlong or tedious.

The anticipation and buzz in the building for 2022 was light years ahead of last night. There was something different that night imo.

I 100% agree on this.  It has the early Apple iTunes vibes and is totally useless.  Plus it takes away a good 5-7k seats.

Controversial opinion probably but it was my first time in the pit at MSG. I preferred having seats in 2022. Drunk dudes shoving past people during all my favorite moments, the people behind me would not stop having a convo the entire show and were so close to me I could hear every word. Mostly just heard the crowd singing (poorly) and not the band - again the dudes behind me were shouting incredibly loudly when they weren’t talking about something totally unrelated to the show that was 5 feet in front of them. I think I actually like a bit of distance from some of these elements. Was cool to see the band having such a good time at the Garden up close! Looking forward to having an actual solid listening experience from my seats tonight lol. Didn’t hold a candle to 2018 or 2022 to me but I imagine others would rate it highly.

That’s interesting.  I thought 22 was insane and maybe the loudest I’ve heard there.  But tonight’s set (and my seats) were better so impossible to pick a favorite for me there

Great fun post covid show! The new songs sounded fantastic especially running!  My biggest complaint was a beer was $23! Plenty of merch to go around.  See everyone tonight.
$23 beers was a beautiful thing. It kept me and my buddy James sober all night!
Didn't see one falling down obnoxious drunk, including myself, all night. My friend and I usually throw money around like drunken sailors, but not last night.
    $23 beers? HAHAHAHAHA

#55 for me and had an absolute blast (as always). Had awesome people around us in the pit (except for that one cowgirl hat lady who literally filmed the entire show and herself using some gigantic folding screen phone / stone cold weirdo), but the rest of the crew was rocking out and dancing all night.  Helps being 4 people back for sure when it feels like you are in the show, vs. just watching and listening.  Highlights for me Immortality, LBC, Satan’s, Black and a truly uproarious GTF.  Baba and Indifference felt like a dream (thought we were getting momma son for a minute but now predicting Footsteps opener tonight!) Sure, some have been better than others, but  PJ + MSG = full soul fulfilling bliss every fucking time.

The beers being $23 was a talking point wtih my friends as well. Was $22 for a 20 oz Blue Point beer. A 24 oz can of miller lite was a deal at $20. Probably a win win for MSG. Get the same amount of money and keep the drunkeness to a minimum I guess.

I think it’s smart that they’re trying to bring another element to get people engaged with the newer songs but I’ve seen Pearl Jam in an arena twice now in venues where there was no behind the stage seating and the energy just isn’t the same. Being in GA last night felt weird. Like I was at a small club and not an arena rock concert.

#18 for me, #1 for my best friend who I was lucky enough to bring. Very emotional show for us as his mom has been battling cancer and he opened up about her relapsing right before the show started. Hopefully this one was uplifting for him. I don't know how it couldn't have been. Great set! Only mood killer for me, weirdly, was OOMM. It was my FOURTH out of my mind, and I don't need it again.

Epic Mike show, as many of them are. Noticed he was using some unique guitar/song combos. Wasn't using the '60 strat on EF. Was the white strat he was using lighter (easier to play above his head?) or was he planning on stabbing it into his amp? Also used that red sparkly tele on Porch when he normally is playing his Les Paul. Thought that was interesting.

Set list design was awesome. Really was able to pull the crowd into the new stuff with a HOT start w/ Better Man & Immortality, and sandwiching Dark Matter right between MYM & DTE really highlighted it as being able to hold up against some of their other "intense" staples.

Can't wait to do it again tonight!

Did you try to get tickets either on the forum here or ticketmaster?

With persistence there usually is a way.

A lot of the folks going both nights probably ponied up or were super diligent to get the second night. I know for sure it’s been a major hassle for me and don’t really feel bad reading posts like this because getting tix to both of these shows was like a full time job for a couple weeks.

I've been to 32 shows and not once have I paid any attention or gained any energy from people behind the stage. Love the screens. I prefer when they put up images of the band because that puts people in the back rows right up front but I'm good with all of the production.

I liked the screen.  But I wouldn’t want them to be a permanent fixture going forward.  Hopefully a one and done.  While the visuals were cool it was definitely weird to not see a crowd behind the band going crazy.
