Some of you still believe that there are enough Americans smart enough to discern the difference as to the why the shit hasn’t been accomplished as VP. A tad more than half of ‘Muricans need to go back to civics class as the New Yorker article and posters on here illustrate Every day. And that’s a problem.
It doesn't help that CNN apparently is every bit as stupid as all these idiot Americans.
As well as Faux. Seems it’s well over half, then.

Thanks to Trump, Iran is closer to developing nukes.

The interview definitely didn’t help her. She has been drilled to try to represent a moderate, center leaning Democrat. But, her values haven’t changed. Obviously the fracking issue contradicts everything she says now.

She was ranked 1/100 in most liberal Senators, even more than Bernie Sanders, who wasn’t happy by the way. It didn’t look like she was happy to not express her core values. Her answers were pretty vague or just pivoted altogether.

Tampon Tim being there was bad. He was awkward and when confronted about his DUI and Stolen Valor. He dodged the question and blames grammar and his wife even though he never bothered to correct it. Then he said “If it’s not my service it’s the love of my kids or my dog they will attack”. Really? Guy is a certified clown now. And people think he has a chance debating Vance?

Like I posted previously this was what Trump needed for ammo. And this is as easy of an Interview Kamala will ever have. How can she ever go in front of the press and take questions now? Even a town hall? The debate will really be interesting. She has to debate Trump and defend policies she really doesn’t believe in.

The interview wasn’t a disaster but it didn’t go well. Especially from a left leaning organization like CNN.

What a joke.  If this was such a gift,  why did Trump call it "BORING'"?  This interview went off quietly and without a hitch.

It's also a joke that you don't think a lifelong Democrat can represent center-left policies.  I'll file this under the 5% Kenedy bump statement.

Meanwhile,  the Trump campaign is busy fighting with military members at Arlington,  talking about "mental health episodes" and trying to figure out how to defend Trump going pro-choice.  But sure,  tell me about Harris moving center left.

Fracking is the big issue, because PA gets special treatment for being a swing state? They deserve special treatment and you don’t?

and if you happen to be from PA, go ahead and keep fracking. Maybe you,  your kids and grandkids will be able to breathe. Maybe not. Who cares.

What are you talking about?  There's nothing wrong with a candidate moving towards the center for the GE.  It's how it works.  There's nothing to defend.

But here's something interesting, Harris takes a 5 point lead.  https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/08/29/kamala-harris-donald-trump-suffolk-usa-today-poll-results/74984967007/

So according to your expert analysis, without RFK dropping, this would have been a 10 point lead for Harris.  Amiright?

I don’t get the whole fracking thing. I don’t think being for fracking does anything to win PA. We have fracking because we couldn’t produce enough gas otherwise. Not enough renewables and PA residents have no tax incentives for them due to republicans clogging our state legislature for decades.

to start, the overall "quality" of question were questionable imo. thats on cnn. so the answers were candidate speak and would have been regardless. fine.

I'm doing better than 4 years ago. I wasnt doing all that bad during covid given my profession, but believe the country as whole is doing far better than 4 years ago. yes, improvements can be made. media being honest journalism brokers would help, calling out corporate greed. (if inflation is supply chain shit, then why do they continue making record profit over and above inflation rates)

give them a B- this first go round.

Polls are all over the place. The only one that averages all the bigger polls is Real Clear Politics. And it’s around 2 points or within margin of error. Kamala’s convention bounce and RFK endorsement basically canceled each other out.

I didn’t watch the interview because I was at PJ. But by all accounts from political reporters it was fine but she needs to do more which it seems everyone here agrees with too.

Not that it makes much difference.. Bernie was probably so pissed after 2019 he had to get the title back.

She stated in 2019 at a town hall in response to that question that she would ban fracking Day 1 if elected President. As well as offshore drilling.

All polls aren't created equally.  Rasmussen is included and that's a tracking poll.  It is also averaging polls going back a month.  But now you're saying that Harris' convention bounce was 10 points?  What was Trump's?

What is worse the CNN interview that from
all accounts was fine or the despicable political photo op at Arlington that was used as a campaign commercial! Did you see the idiot trying to pin it on the current administration? It’s not even close..

All of them? If she is for fracking why not explain what changed from 2019? Maybe she did some research and it showed the positives outweighed the
negatives. To the people who hate Trump and don’t care about policy it doesn’t matter. But to undecided and independent it does.
