It’s always odd that people criticize others for taking an interest in the happenings in another country. Paying attention to anything going on around the globe should always be encouraged.mickeyrat said:Go Beavers said:

Far left is getting yourself banned for 2 weeks and another member getting the thread locked because they attack other posters personally for saying grown men shouldn't get nude in front of children, although it is "legal" in a particular state. Far left is claiming all women, people of color, and LGBTQ people are suffering from generational trauma (lol) and are victims, all at the hands of the evil white man. I could go on, but it falls on deaf ears. Actually, maybe our Canadian posters should stop commenting and obsessing over an American election they can't vote in. Maybe our Canadian posters can stop making statements about what Americans are like when they don't live here and only know what they see from the sensationalist media on their computers. Best yet, since our Canadian posters care about victims so much, maybe they should spend their time focusing on Canada's missing and murdered indigenous women problem.HughFreakingDillon said:far left is liberals in canada. the lefties here are fucking conservative where I'm from. haha. you have no idea what far left actually is.
Yes, I was a staunch Lib. Not anymore. That doesn't mean I am voting Republican however. I still care about human rights more than anything, but Dems can take their creation of a victimhood society and fuck off.

all hyperbole. and people in other countries care about an election we can't vote in because, like it or not, your country is one of the most influential on earth, and as such, affects, or potentially can affect, ALL OF US.seanwon said:

I said that to a small minority of people here who voted for Trump the first time he won. I realized what I had done was not only not cool, it was also a flagrant violation of forum rules. Apparently, I was given a pass by the mods because nothing was said to me. No time out, no ban, nothing. But I knew what I had done was not cool, so I have myself a full 6 month time out. And not just on AMT. No, the entire board. Fully paid membership. Not one post. One one membership benefit. Nada.Think about it.

Weird hearing politicians (kamala etc) de facto only talking about the middle class. ”I wont forget the middle class I came from” etc
Over here the left has always talked about and been fighting for the working class. The middle class has two cars parked in the driveway of their two story house and their kids have both the PSX and the N64.
Would be pissed if I were from the working class in the US. DO I HAVE TO TURN TO THE COMMUNISTS TO GET SOME LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING?!

Good observation. A big failure of the dems is their lack of messaging to the working class to try and pull them in. Republicans have been more successful in appealing to them by way of “values” and how the dems threaten those.Spiritual_Chaos said:Weird hearing politicians (kamala etc) de facto only talking about the middle class. ”I wont forget the middle class I came from” etc

Regarding things costing more, have you considered the fact that the whole world endured the same inflation we did a couple years ago, yet our country has handled it better than anyone else?Source: some smart guy on Twitter:
"Much of our economic growth in the past 4 years has been driven by deficit spending (more debt).
A huge portion of that "growth" was just the Fed printing a few trillion $$$ digitally and using various programs to shove those $$$ into the banking system and funding the govt's deficit spending.
This is not a sustainable policy. It leads to massive inflation and distorts the markets with govt and Fed manipulation"

Increase in GDP since 4Q2000: approx $7,300,000,000,000
How much deficit spending did the "whole world" do since 4Q2000?
