Do a setlist of mellow songs ev. A few bangers with other members singing. Take care of yourself. I would cringe if I was at a show and heard him p painfully belting out songs.

In Manchester he still had capacity to sing and ruined his voice by the set list. Play slieght of hand. Strangest tribe. Let me sleep. Then let stone do 2. Sweet Lew . It's simple and he would have had time to recover but what he decided was to go all out and that's caused a problem. He said it himself I can feel I'm doing damage to my voice.
Oh well not much can be done about it now. I just hope for all my old friends and all my new ones in Berlin that it's all ok and it's mellow night 1 so night 2 has a chance.

When they cancelled in 2022. A similar situation. I was in Amsterdam and they cancelled night 1 like a few hours before the show but managed to do night 2...

Different cause wasn‘t it? Wildfires in Paris? His cold from London 2018 was over 4 days later in Milan.

No not fear mongering. Unfortunately having been in this position 3 times after cancelled PJ gigs and basing this on previous experience. Good luck bro

It's not fearmongering being honest and realistic no sense burying your head on the sand.

It‘s not realistic to think that a cold needs more than a week to get better. Ed might not be at 100% but it‘s definitely not unrealistic to think he can be on stage on Tuesday.

Not saying it‘s a safe bet, but yes, a lot of people here are exaggerating negativity around here.

It's not the cold it's the damage he did in Manchester by singing full pelt with a bad throat

Didn‘t everyone complain that he left the crowd sing too much?

He (hopefully) kept is voice down for almost a week now. He should be alright.

My point is: With us fans everything sucks. And I tend to think the same just by being active here.

Setlist sucks, setlength sucks, prices suck, places suck, communication sucks, Ed sings to much, Ed sings too less, Ed smokes, Ed drinks, I‘m ill so everyone‘s ill, Ed must have COVID, the tour is over, …

I‘d be very sad to miss the shows in Berlin and I know it could happen. But it doesn‘t help when half this community spreads pessimism.

No nobody complained it was wonderful. The crowd loved singing along. He didn't help himself but thats his choice. Also remember for those at the show then at the cancelling it's very depressing and low. Nobody is full of beans and jumping for joy

What about a completely acoustic show. If they did that in Barcelona 2 id be delighted.  Obviously would love a full set. But cancel or do an acoustic set. Be amazing

As much as I’d love an acoustic show, I think what we know from how Ed handles situations when he has a bad throat is that he doesn’t like to do those kind of songs, perhaps because there’s too much emphasis on his voice to make it work. He seems to prefer the faster songs which the band playing and crowd singing along can help him out.

Not saying it makes logical sense. He played Amimal and Brain of J back to back in London 18 and then announced he had a bad throat 😂

I think it's more than fair for fans, during a cost of living crisis to be negative about a cancelled show that was extraordinarily expensive. Some fans paying for flights and accommodation as well.

Being most of us are paying fan club members we actually have a right to vent a bit and be negative for a legitimate reason...like ridiculous venues, double the cost of concert tickets, cancellations of shows for 3 tours in a row....all valid points.

People get sick, that can’t be helped. But it is so frustrating as a fan from Scotland (where PJ have only ever played twice, last in 2000) that it has cost me 2 weeks wages for travel, accommodation, spending money etc. I just hope that PJ have learned their lesson, they cannot charge those eye watering prices and expect to sell out a 60,000 stadium, they just don’t have the hard core fan numbers,£90 per ticket then possibly . Play the O2 and charge a reasonable amount, even if it’s 2 nights,Taylor Swift tickets were cheaper . I hope someone within the band reads these forum messages and understands what it takes for us fans to see them . Hopefully it won’t be long until they are back in the UK and London ticket holders get first chance at tickets

Coin toss and you won. There is no scientific evidence about PJ cancellations. You had a gut feeling and got lucky. I hoped for the contrary and wasn‘t lucky.

No mate - I don't win & I didn't get lucky. That's the point. The FANS all lose out and have a right to now question these antics after it's the same story time and time again...

Genuinely gutted about the Berlin gigs, still going out there anyway! hopefully Barcelona night one will go ahead so then at least one out of four gigs isn’t too bad 🤣

These are the cards we have all been dealt unfortunately, let’s just hope this doesn’t impact any future tours.
