I think we could see a parallel with Springsteen's Australia/NZ tours in 2013/14.

It was ten years since he'd last visited Australia (2003 Rising Tour) and whilst the performances were good in 2003, the reception was mixed, shows werent sellouts and another tour was considered somewhat of a risk. Bruce abandoned the Aussie market for a decade. When they announced the 2013 tour it was exciting but met with some trepidation.

In the end it was a massive box office success with great crowds, and they very quickly locked him in for another tour in 2014 and another run in 2017.

I don't think PJ will be back as early as 2025, but it won't be long. If the band are willing, there's no way promoters are turning it down. This tour was a box office and critical success. PJ has the current mix of a nostalgia act for people in a financially comfortable demographic, paired with pretty damn good new music. The perfect promoter's combo.
This is spot on and something I was talking to a mate about in Melbourne.

Pearl Jam’s last tour here (Australia) pretty much killed off the Big Day Out festival. They didn’t have the widespread commercial appeal. Just the die hards you could rely on.

Now. 60,000 over 2 nights in Melbourne alone. Planes full of fans flying over. Cities covered in people wearing their merch, having lined up for hours to spend hundreds for some hats and stuff.
Agreed and I think they'll play Perth and Adelaide too.
Would be awesome if they played Wellington and Christchurch too. A lot of Kiwis travelled to Auckland for the two there.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers the freak-out when the internet had them scheduled for Baltimore, only it was a Bruce Pearl thing because Bruce used his last name and the word "jam."

Or maybe the algorithms *do* know something.

    My predictions:
    1) We don't hear anything until January.
    2) People get all excited on the ninth, only to realize the newsletter doesn't have tour info.

Part number 2 here is a guarantee hahaha

No matter what—it seems like there is a warm and fuzzy feeling for shows happening in ‘25 which is great news.

So none of this getting tips from insiders any more. AI will just hack any and all correspondence from all parties mid negotiation and display in real time!

I know we have some good rumours on next year, but nothing near as strong as those from Facemeltor last year and Dimitris in previous years. Just wondering if there will be no shows in 2025. Everyone seems to be positioning today’s show as the final show of the Dark Matter World tour…..
I feel like the lack of substantial rumours at this stage is less to do with there not being shows next year, but more that the band has been on the road of late and so most people associated with the band are busy with that.  There's been enough chatter from reliable sources to suggest that there are definitely 2025 shows planned - a continuation of the DM tour - just not enough detailed rumours yet to start making any tour plans...

2025 shows are certainly coming. 100Pacer is always on point.

Unfortunately the rumour/intel mill hasn't spewed anything at all out yet for Europe....looks like a dry year ahead.

I did wonder if Download might be a thing but that has been and gone.......I now wonder if Reading might actually approach the band. Doubt it though

Not too sure about Reading - it's full of 15 year olds on ketamine these days...   :o

And yeah I'd love to see some solid Euro rumours.  It's always struck me as odd that the DM tour would skip some of the bands favourite spots over the years like Amsterdam, Pinkpop, Werchter and miss out Italy entirely... and that's even before the cancellations this summer which reduced the European leg to essentially UK&I and the Iberian peninsula...  So maybe there's always been a multi-year plan with multiple shorter runs of shows?  That's the hope at least...

There’s no way they will play at Reading/Leeds again. Filled nowadays with pop acts with just the one or two rock headliners. Also have that weird set up with two main stages and two main headliners each day.

I dont actually think there’s many U.K. festivals they could realistically play at, apart from BST and maybe Isle of Wight. They could do outdoor shows at places like Old Trafford cricket ground, Finsbury Park etc but I think our festivals are no longer right for them.

BST still have 5th July and 19/20 July free. Rumour is that Sabrina Carpenter will be 5th but we can all keep our fingers crossed. Can't see it tbh but with the exception of ELO there aren't any heritage/rock acts at BST so far as it's skewing v pop so I guess PJ would provide that other classic rock act.

    Well said, 100%!
Ed is always saying shit but feels it won’t be so long, I’d predict 2027, Feb or Nov.
    2025 - lighter D/M in other parts of Us/Canada
2026 - South America (or late 25) & short Europe leg

Is Ohana Festival a given for Ed? Is it possible there won’t be any Ohana Fest 2025? I was kinda holding out for at least a stateside Ohana show if not a short No Amer/So Amer 2025 🤞♥️

Ohana will happen in '25 and Ed wil be there. Only question is if he's solo on Saturday night or if the rest of the crew is with him for Friday/Sunday.

Old Trafford cricket ground would be ambitious - couldn’t fill the co-op arena at current pricing and it’s less than half the size

can’t see Europe next year, sadly

Its already in the works. And yes, ed will be there as he is every year and its his festival. He said recently on PJ radio the Ohana festival is the most important weekend of the year for him personally. So, as long as there is Ohana, you can count him in one way or another.

Oh, yes, I realize it’s his festival. I guess I just wasn’t sure if he had the festival every year.  Hopefully the rest of the band will join him one of the nights too! Thanks for the info though, I appreciate it!

Expressing the hope of coming back to Europe next year in a social media post shortly after the end of a tour is no different from any fan's hope.

Reading quite a few hints that US shows are happening, unfortunately not looking good for Europe.
