I have heard you do not want to be up close at the Sphere. I have also heard it gives you a bit of vertigo with how intense the visuals are. Cosmic concert (for you old timers) with the actual band there in person. Based on Dead & Co.

I see what you did there. Pretty good.

No they are not. False rumor.
Tool’s manager is in final negotiations with the Sphere for a month long residency.  It’s not a done deal and anything can happen but I know this from one of the top sponsors.
    Any idea which month? @vedpunk

Tool at the sphere will be the pinnacle for that venue.
It will be the benchmark for all the bands after that.
Can't see how it wouldn't be epic.

I saw U2 in the 400 level. No complaints. My wife was nervous about the vertigo/motion sickness, but did not experience it (and she ALWAYS does). The view of the band was just like being on the far end of any hockey arena. The visuals are great, any chance you have to see a band there, go, no matter the seat.
The only odd part was sitting through the whole show, since the seats are on such an incline, you don't want to stand for fear of falling. The seats in front of you maybe go to shin height. Of course, I got the two people who like to film above head level for most of the show.

Nothing, not sure how valid this PJ Sphere rumor actually is since it was just manifested on this thread with no sources.

Barclays in brooklyn also has a steep incline. It is Vegas entertainment. And put the phones down! I am one of those guys that will tell people in front of me to put them down.

Yeah I’m skeptical about it too.  I trust in facemeltor, but that was a long time ago that he said listen to this guy or whatever it was.

Yeah I’m skeptical about it too.

Nothing is real until it is with this band. I would guess they are entertaining offers for 2025 which might include the sphere. PJ is a top draw live act and I would go after them if I was part of the sphere team. A Vegas residency with $300+ tickets would probably put me off. Not a fan of Vegas.

The Ten Club policeman is back! Thanks for the zinger….You got me again.  Your obsession with trying to call people out on the smallest things is uncanny.  I hope that gives you purpose in life.

U2's "Vertigo" makes your wife nauseated? I mean, I know it's not their best song...

It sure does. We were way up in the top level for the RRHOF induction and it was like we were looking straight down from the Goodyear blimp or something.

It gives me purpose in the context of rumor threads when I can recall who repeatedly throws up on their balls. Hope you're right about Tool though.

Mentioned in another post, but Eddie played a video before Sting last night put together by Paul Nicklen (Gigaton album artwork) set to Dark Matter. It was an incredibly powerful video and reminded me in ways of DTE (though live capture, not animated).

I'm calling it now - THAT will be the DM video at the sphere.
