For my fellow Canadians - are you still attending shows this spring or nah?

Hopeful for something this side of the border..sooner than later but not looking likely.
Yes, we're still going. I refuse to let the orange one dictate where I find joy in my life. We will be keeping a low profile and leaving anything Canadiana at home. No Tragically Hip t-shirts, No PJ t-shirts from Canadian show dates. If things get even uglier between now and then, we'll re-evaluate. Hopefully my "eh's?" don't give me away.  ;)
I'm a Canadian American and Pittsburgh native. I  will be proudly wearing my Hip shirts throughout the weekend in solidarity for my Canadian family and friends.

    Shawshank quotes------->CD alphabetizing rules------->Politics

Sounds about right for the rumor thread.
I guess the politics is especially relevant if it affects any of the tour plans.  Like if the tariffs would make touring Canada more difficult??
It will cost bands and concert tours more money to cross over with their stuff. Therefore, TM and the band would have to increase their ticket prices.

they probably wouldn’t be able to keep 10c tickets under $300

The currency exchange hit will make it a double whammy. The Loony will be down if the tariffs actually go through.
So hypothetically speaking, if there was to be a US/Canada run in Sept/Oct and it was being planned right now, the financial uncertainty could be a problem right?  I mean tickets would go on sale 4-5 months at least before the shows and so by the time they roll around then who knows what extra financial liabilities on the band and promoters there might be??
This is why the band should do a proper U.K. tour next! No tariffs between U.K. and US and vice versa
    Nice try!!  =)

I'd pay more then the spurs stadium prices for a gig this summer in Europe. They were too dear but feck I'd pay to see more dark.matter songs. Only few weeks to the tour.  Very jealous

i wish i wish i wish i wish, i guess it never stops

For people that buy merch, where is the apparel made? It should say so on the label. If it is China, Mexico or Canada it could impact costs for a US tour.
Nobody who spends what people spend on merch is going to fret about a surcharge.
Some of these people would hack their way through the jungles of the Darien Gap to get a Pearl Jam license plate.
There was a guy at an LA show with the license plate LNGROAD that I am stealing if I ever buy another car.

Of course, going with LONGROD could help in other departments.
    LMAO

Booked a hotel last September for the 26th-29th for Oasis. Already have Neil Young tickets for the 27th. Staying a few blocks from Soldier Field. Only $700 for 4 nights, since i booked once the Oasis dates leaked.

There’s a rumored Soldier Field show later this year. My guess is if true, thats the date. If you want reasons why i think so, check last few pages. I posted why i think its the 26th, if true.

Announcement wouldn’t come until after Spring Tour begins, otherwise it would hurt ticket sales for Spring Tour. My guess is announcement comes out after Nashville shows but before Pittsburgh shows.

I think we get a “Make sure your membership is up to date” on the April 10th or May 10th newsletter.
