This is like asking someone to choose between Johnny Guitar or Black. Duh--Swift all day long baby!

Throw in the Ticketmaster continuum, and this day could have some seriously cosmic consequences.

I reeeeeally wasn’t expecting to say this, but Dark Matter is better than TTPD.

Admittedly I’m a bigger Pearl Jam fan, but I own most of Taylor’s albums on vinyl… I’ve watched all her docs. I appreciate good pop music.

TTPD feels like she just wanted to get some shit off her chest quickly after a breakup and move on. There are some great lyrics and some cringe lyrics. Production-wise, it feels like a lazy extension of Midnights.

No doubt it’ll have billions of streams and be in contention for album of the year because everything she touches turns to gold right now. But it’s… not great. Jack Antonoff needs to go away for a while.

How does anyone have a considered opinion on this question?! These albums have been out for less than 12 hours.

The only comparison I'm capable of making at this point on this subject is that Pearl Jam is my favorite band, and I really loved Gigaton, but Folklore was the best album of 2020.

I went to listen to the TS album but got distracted that there's a new Local Natives album. It's "Johnny Abruzzo's Music" Day.

I am lucky enough to be seeing both TS and PJ in Dublin the same week this summer. Have not made it through TTPD, but listened to a few, and skimmed some others, and can confidently say I believe I will be enjoying Dark Matter more even after several listens of both. To each their own though!
words seem so out of place.

2020 had a lot of tough competition, I’d put both Inlet & Fetch the Bolt Cutters above Giga and Folklore

Taylor has a bassist named Amos. Pearl Jam has a poster from Amos.

    Coincidence? I think not.

Both albums released today. Two artist juggernauts.
Which album do you think is the best?
Maybe you should post the same question on Swift's fan page and average the two?
