really like this one. and mikes guitar takes me back to early PJ. Curious though about Ed's singing on this one...if they flirted with different tempos and timing...it just reminds me of some off Gigaton that I didnt care for...but still really enjoy this one.
It doesn’t sound like anything off Gigaton.

This sounded really great live. Reminds me of some off Gigaton that I cared for.

Listening to this immediately followed by running, awesome.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

No it doesn’t. You didn’t like Gigaton, remember. All you did was complain about it . Now you like it?

This also answered a question I had about whether, when they played this, they would follow it with the "Be Mighty Humble" snippet as on the album.

Note to Pearl Jam: you should work this up as the lead-in to "Running" in the live show. (As you should work up "Pry, To" as the lead-in to "Corduroy.") Neither of things would take a lot of practice.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Agreed.  Even extend the be mighty humble to a longer version and put it on Lost Dogs 2

They played this one both nights in LA!!  Before going to the concert, I thought that React / Respond was going to be the track I would like to hear repeated, since it was my favorite on the album.  But in night 2, when they started playing Waiting for Stevie again, it felt just as fresh as the first time.  The beginning guitar + bass riffs are so masterful and draws you in.  Plus that outro is so amazing!  I could watch Pearl Jam perform this song live, everyday, and love it.  Need more Waiting for Stevie.  Need it now.   B)

Agreed! WFS was already my favorite and Tuesday night sealed it. I was listening to the album on my ride home from the airport and the second spin through I probably repeated it 7 times in a row to complete the drive 🤣
