YourDirtisMyfood said:Mine was Hartford 1996 when a barricade got tipped over. It was the year that they had the bumper sticker tickets instead of Ticketmaster tix due to the feud. Saw a burning car on the way home.
Mine too! Nearly had to leave from the pepper spray fumes wafting down to our seats.

Mine was in Frankfurt 3/12/1992, my only PJ-Club show, attendance about 400 in sold out Batschkapp. So different from all the others.0

My sister’s boyfriend’s first show was the Philly Ten show. Wow.
Not an all time great, but my first show was Charlotte ‘96. I remember it being completely awesome.0 -
Montreal ‘98. Front row in front of Mike with my brother(first show Saratoga ‘92). Got a hand slap from Ed and Mike plus a setlist and Mike’s pick.0

First show was Virginia Beach '98. Not infamous. Notable b/c they played No Way for the third time that tour and then took it out of the rotation for 11 years before playing it again in 2009. Got played a few times up 'til 2014 and re-entered hibernation it seems.
Edited to say that Black from Live on Two Legs came from the VB '98 show so there's that.Post edited by A Compliment For Us onIs a Compliment For You.

Uniondale was my first show as well, they put on an amazing show - forget the naysayers - they composed themselves very wellnautical_disaster said:I just happened to be looking at a recent thread, and saw one user, @HailHailVitalogy , had the Uniondale show as their first one, which I think would be a hell of an introduction to pearl jam shows! I’d love to hear your stories if you’ve been to one of these shows. Obviously, the Long Island one would be perceived as a “negative” infamous example, but I’m all about the positive so crazy setlists, surprise guests - my definition of infamous can stretch to encompass lots of shows 😊 For example Halifax would def qualify as it’s the only time pearl jam were in the Maritimes, and that’s where Ed discovered our Alexander Keith’s 8 pack of beer.

It was a great show. Could have been an even better show if Ed did not get pissed off.0 -
Same here as well. The only experiences that have topped it are being in the pit a couple other times.mcgruff10 said:

Probably not infamous but it was one of the 18 Ape Man shows from 2000 and I won the tickets from radio on my 18th birthday so it was awesome seats.

Eastern Creek Raceway, Australia 1995, often talked as legendary show. (I wish I had a time machine).
I was from UK backpacking. Went with a fellow backpacker who was staying at the same backpackers hostel.
He was called Co (Nick). When we first met briefly he had a pearl jam t-shirt, I said 'Noooo....a pearl jam t shirt'!!!... (meaning amazing to meet someone else as mad as me about Pearl Jam).
Anyway about a week later I said you've not worn your pearl jam t shirt again, and he said when you said nooo a pearl jam t shirt I thought you didn't like them so I've not worn it.
I explained and we had a good laugh about it over a few beers and were from then on constantly talking anything pearl jam. He had a guitar and could play a few songs too.
