I forgot about that one!  I had the bootleg til my mom threw it away cleaning out my room when I went to college.  Need to go back and re-listen somehow, but from what I recall that had to be a great first show!

one of the sickest porch jams ever.  oh man i'm jealous of this one.  I think the whole 94 tour with the exception of atlanta is overlooked yet one of their best.

3/28/94  Miami Fl was my 2nd show. Lollapalooza 92 my first. Agree this whole 94 tour was one of their best. Wish they would release official bootlegs from this tour.. On a side note I got to see Pink Floyd 3 days later in Miami I read somewhere years ago that Ed was at this show, not sure if that's true.

It was definitely a great first show. The intensity of that one hasn't been matched by any show since, not just PJ but almost anyone. Plus that was a smallish venue considering how huge they were at the time, so it felt kind of intimate.

Its on the Live Music Archive. Heres a link:https://archive.org/details/Pearl_Jam_Bootleg_1994-03-29

Indeed my show was! It was October 6, 2009 at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA. The night that Chris Cornell came out and sang Hunger Strike with the band. The noise level told me that whoever this was ( I had listened to PJ only about a year at that point) it was indeed special. Had to ask my ticket buddy who it was lol. That said, once I heard his name I knew I had heard of him before. Super cool experience, even if it didn't hit me like it should have at the time!

Not sure it's imfamous but my first show was their first time playing the Gorge - Sept 1993.  Blind Melon opened, then PJ, then Neil.  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pearl+jam+gorge+1993 .

My 2nd and 3rd shows were more imfamous.  2.6.95 Moore Theater fan club only show with Neil as a guest, then 5.7.98 ARO Space secret club show, Matt Cameron's first show with the band.

    Almost.
My first show was the night before an infamous show. I first saw them April 10, 1994 (thirty years ago today!). The next night they debuted Immortality and Eddie smashed a hole in the floor of the original Boston Garden stage. And the following night was an even more famous show at the Orpheum.

Not the first but the second time, Philly 2005..  Awesome set list and during Crazy Mary the sound cut out and made this crazy sound.  Freaked Eddie out and he was scared to start the song again. lol  Still probably my top show.

    Honorable mentions:
Bonnaroo 2008 - WMA as a full song
Albany 2006 - first Rats and Satan's Bed in a very long time
MSG 2016 - Sting coming out and singing driven to tears
Austin 2023 - Out Of My Mind

so many memories coming up seeing everyone talk about their first shows, fuckin love it!

My first show was technically Randalls Island 1, 1996 but when they opened with Last Exit, a friend I was there with took a hit in the back of the head from someone surfing over the top.  She ended up eating the railing in front of us and chipping some teeth. Took her over to first-aid area, which was basically a triage unit, and since we were 16 they put us in an ambulance and sent us off to some NYC hospital.  I was bummed but the ER nurse gave me a copy of the paperwork and told me to try to use it to get in the next night.  It worked and what an amazing first complete show for Randalls Island 2.  Followed it up later that week with a bus ride up to Hartford.  I've been lucky enough to see some amazing shows, hoping for another memorable one in Sacramento next month.

My 2nd show was just a few days after my first. #2 was the Golden Gate Park Neil Young show in 1995. Since I had just seen PJ and was a big NY fan, I was actually pretty stoked on the show. Of course it sucked Eddie was sick and lots of folks where disappointed, but I had a blast. I was also with people who had seen the Sacramento show with me and were also big Young fans.
