I thought Boston & Chicago had different pressings? Are the record stores being given the wrong stock photos as Valshalla is showing the red/blue which I thought was the Boston variant.

I realised I am actually wrong, they are both red/blue pressings but different patterns. The Boston one looks pretty different to the email from 10C!

This is exactly right.
The color of the Vinyl does not affect the sound at all.
It is the quality of the pressing and the pressing facility.
By the way, Vinyl is not black originally. Black Vinyl, like all colored Vinyl variants, is also inked / dyed.

It's hard to say how many were sold in a few hours with how rabid PJ fans can be, but I'd say 10-15k for the 10c variant would be a safe bet
