Stopped trusting Stone after Rock around Barack and not wanting to play No Way in 2011.

    Fool me twice.

Based on the fact that we’re exactly a month out from the album release date and this interview dropped this morning, I’m thinking we’re getting a new single later today. Fingers crossed!

That article has definitely got me excited for the record .......the fact it is still a month away is a killer...

Amazing interview. Will need to read this again when we have the album in hand.  At some point we just need a feature on Jonathan Cohen, the guy is really on the pulse of Pearl Jam.

Great interview. I know its their job to sell it, but it really seems like the band is feeling this record hard. Definitely gets me more pumped for it.

Cool article. I tried not to read too many specifics. I'd like to hear the whole record first, then read about it.

Without any song specific stuff that people might not want to read about.. I found a couple interesting points.

Very interesting bit about the new production and how it will be a different show.  Guessing that is why there aren't behind the stage seats.

Then it's great that Stone addresses the shorter shows.  Glad he says we can't do that every night. Leaves it open to the possibility of the rare epic one off.  Way to keep us traveling Stone, well played.

I think it’s good that it’s out there at last. And I’d much rather get another ten years of solid 2:20 shows out of them than have it all fall to pieces.

That was a great read - it's going to be a long four weeks to wait but it definitely sounds like it'll be worth it!

i dont think he said they might be do a longer show sometimes. i think he said those type of lenghty shows are over.

I'm hoping this doesn't mean screensaver-video on the backdrop. But something less Metallicaish and Guns N Rosey.

I’m excited. I think everybody is, and our goal is to play a lot of new stuff. So, listen to the record, everybody. Know the material! We’re gonna play it. We’ll have some new production too. We’re working on something right now, so it will be a little bit of a different show.

    Excited for the new album.

This business about new production has me concerned about the variety of the sets we’re going to get. I’ll continue to remain optimistic but I think I’ll wait and see what May brings before I commit to any additional shows.

Varied set lists are the band's stock-in-trade, so I'd be surprised if that changed. Stone even mentions variety in the interview.

If anything, this could mean (and I hope it means) that the shows will be heavy on the material from the new album. I am hoping for eight songs a night from Dark Matter, with all eleven tracks getting played at least twice during the first leg. I might regret this wish if the album's a dud, but it won't be.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.
