My hope for the album is some decent lead riffs. Thinking about songs like Alive, Even Flow, Given To Fly, Animal etc, with recognisable riffs, picking strings to create a melody. These days it feels to me like most songs are chord driven and I'd love something a bit more 'complicated' in sound.
And this is coming from someone who probably cant articulate it correctly/musically but hopefully you get the point.
I agree. This is the first time I'm thinking about not just automatically buying a new PJ album at the record shop the day it comes out. Completist or no, I may need to check it out on Apple Music before forking over $35 for the vinyl. Even after several listens, Running really has me discouraged.

You understand that you could buy the CD or a digital download for a fraction of that price, right?
It baffles me that you paid 35 dollars to belong to a band's fan club but are hesitant to pay 15 dollars to buy the band's new album.

Thank u for updating everyone, I was worried I wasn’t sure what you were going to do on April 19th.

Where has Mike and Matt been in promoting the album? Ed’s done the listening parties and Stone and Jeff have done some interviews. Stone in particular did that great track by track preview. Maybe in the next week or so we might see a bit more? 🤷♂️

So I guess they're not going to release a music video for any of the singles?
It's weird, looked like there was one, probably for Dark Matter, that includes some of the promo pics and Danny Clinch shared some photos. but no video surfaced.
Has anyone seen when we should be expecting Dark Matter albums to arrive that were ordered via Ten Club?
I got an email this morning that a shipping label was printed and it should arrive on 4/22.
You'd think they could mail them out earlier so we'd get them by release day... I mean, Amazon can do that. Can't the actual band selling the album directly to us do the same thing?
You'd also think they'd give those of us who spent almost $100 on a cd and a vinyl, a download of the album so we could listen to it while we wait 4 or 5 more days for it to show up.

I received a shipping notice this morning that the Deluxe CD only is expected to arrive on Monday. No word on the regular CD or the LP, both of which were ordered at the same time as the Deluxe CD.

FWIW, I ordered the Blueray/CD combo on Amazon 3 weeks ago and assumed it would arrive 4/19, even though it said TBA. Alas, a couple days ago it told me arrival will be 4/22. So I’ll stream it over the weekend even though I wanted it day of release. (I wasn’t sure if my local record store would have that package on 4/19 and hoped maybe I’d get it a day early if i ordered online. Whoops)
I went to the cinema but...lying on my bed, headphones, loud! I'm loving this album. Feel like a kid again listening to some vintage PJ but new PJ. Yeah love it. Happy. This album makes me happy 😊

Like, Does Howard ask about Jeff's hats? Where did the name "Stone" come from? How many drummers have their been? Etc.
