    My hope for the album is some decent lead riffs.  Thinking about songs like  Alive, Even Flow, Given To Fly, Animal etc, with recognisable riffs, picking strings to create a melody.  These days it feels to me like most songs are chord driven and I'd love something a bit more 'complicated' in sound. 

    And this is coming from someone who probably cant articulate it correctly/musically but hopefully you get the point.

    I agree. This is the first time I'm thinking about not just automatically buying a new PJ album at the record shop the day it comes out. Completist or no, I may need to check it out on Apple Music before forking over $35 for the vinyl. Even after several listens, Running really has me discouraged.

    It baffles me that you paid 35 dollars to belong to a band's fan club but are hesitant to pay 15 dollars to buy the band's new album.
