You know what would be sweet? In lieu of us no longer getting a Christmas single, can we get the new album single early?
It's on all of our wishlists.

Thanks.

Thought a new single called ‘please’ had been released for a second there.

    It dropped!

It's called Can't Deny Me and it's from the forthcoming album!

Ha. I wonder how much of those sessions we'll ever see.

I’d imagine a fair amount of that material got re-worked into Gigaton

River Cross was from that session too.
  • I might be a very small minority here but I’d rather the next tour didn’t have new material.  I know it will.  Just saying my preference.

Really? I’d rather hear new material I’ve always liked hearing new songs that the band is feeling good about!

I'm with you only because I've gotten to hear so little of Gigaton. Almost not ready to move on to new stuff. Happily will if it means more shows, though.

I'd be happy with a '98 and earlier tour.
There's definitely a lot of post post Yield I like, but if I made a list of my top 20 PJ songs, all would probably be on Yield or earlier.

Strong disagree. I feel almost exactly opposite to this. I'd love shows that were almost all new material. If Pearl Jam ever stopped making new music and playing that new music live, I would save a lot of money because I would go from seeing them as many times as I can within a 500-mile radius to maybe seeing them once. If Pearl Jam announced a tour where they would be playing only songs from their first three albums, I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes but I would have zero interest in that.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I'm similar.   Gigaton wasn't my favourite PJ album, but only having gone to the Oakland shows, I think I only got to hear 3 songs live off the album.   I would of liked to have gotten more of it, but I understand why they couldn't do it with replacement drummers.

I don't get too many firsts in setlists anymore, so new songs off new albums always give me new songs to experience live :)

Give me new material all day. I don’t need to hear “the classics” over and over

I like new album tours better… more excitement for me

but I do like how they did this last year mini/ no new album tour with playing the classics better than I remember and busting out rare songs

new material......keep it coming, keep it coming, keep it coming! Do I want to hear Alive and classics all the time, sure, but new material means touring etc. Use it or lose it. we are the lucky ones!

Anyone else think maybe we could ge a single at the end of 10 Days? I’m not expecting an album or tour announcement til after New Year (although I’d love to be wrong) but I wouldn’t rule out a standalone single.
    Wishful thinking anyway.
