I just hope whatever the new single is that it accurately represents the album. When "Dance of the Clairvoyants" came out I was so excited. I was hoping the whole album would be that stylistic departure. It was not. I know some people like Gigaton, and I am not interested in debating with you. Just relating my personal experience.

Maybe they're stalling for time, waiting for vinyl to get pressed to reduce the lag between announcement and when the album can get released? I haven't kept up on it but vinyl did have a backlog of 9 to 12 months from when you want to get something pressed to when it does get pressed. It got so bad Metallica bought their own pressing facility.
Still, with rumoured shows in May, you would think the Album is destined to come out by April, so a single in Jan/Feb would be great

According to what a very reliable source revealed to us, two new Pearl Jam songs should be released within a couple of weeks .
Within a couple of weeks, but perhaps as early as next week, the first single from Pearl Jam's new studio album, still untitled, will be released.
The first single will be composed of two songs, both of which will be included in the tracklist of the new album. The first song, Wrecker , was described to us as a rather direct song, with the guitars in the foreground, while the second song, entitled Dark Matter , is an acoustic ballad.
While waiting for confirmation on these indiscretions, we remind you that the group's new album, their twelfth studio album, produced by Andrew Watt, should be released within the first half of this year.
