    For those of you who haven’t watched Netflix’s The Hunt for Bid Laden, there is a scene where they interview a CIA analyst involved and she says, paraphrasing, “you have to ask yourself whether you can ‘kill’ your way out of it. Invariably the answer is no.”

    I heard repeatedly during the campaign last year that, when Trump was president, "there were no wars." This was hilariously false. Aside from the fact that there were several wars being fought around the world when Trump was president, the United States was at war in Afghanistan for the entire length of Trump's first term.

    So they'll probably just claim this isn't a war.

    Once again, as they have done for Democratic and Republican presidents alike for the past eighty years, Congress has completely abdicated its responsibility to declare war.
