  • This makes me excited.  I have wanted them to make music in the studio and not just bring finished demos.   Looking forward to it.  I miss the guitar riffs.

Listening to the 2 Painted Shield albums and the new Brad album, I would say Stone still loves the riffs!

Would just love some new music to spin - at this point would really love a Lost Dogs II if that was all we got.  2024 seems so far away in many regards.
  • I wonder if the goal is to tighten up the record after tour and roll it out in the late winter/spring.

I want every album to have 5 Stone riffs. On Gigaton all we got from Stone was Buckle Up.

It seems clear now in retrospect that Gigaton was very much Jeff’s album. Stone & Mike both seemed kinda sidelined, certainly in terms of writing but even some in the playing.
Which is why I’m fascinated by the current (or at least recent) dynamic where Stone & now Mike both say “it’s really really close” and Jeff is like “I dunno, maybe halfway?”. It seems like maybe they don’t want the same thing from this record.
Personally? Jeff had his turn last time, let’s hear what the guitarists have up their sleeves.
And I agree, the idea of them writing together in to room sounds like a great change from the last few.

Seconded!  I know the sting will fade with time..but knowing everyone else is goin get their shows brings pain…Also knowing I can’t make the show (if they actually reschedule)…so I’m just left with tickets of no value to me…someone is going to get some great seats if they redo it in 2024!

Let's hope that "editing error" on the drums at the start of the Rolling Stones single that Justin Hawkins couldn't get over, isn't present on Matt Camerons drums! THEN SO HELP ME GOD

How does he know it's an error and not intentional? I don't really hear it. I just hope our guys' first single gets 14 million views or better in the first 7 days.

In the video where he goes through the song it sounds like an obvious error/glitch and not part of the song. I never heard it in any versions I’ve listened to (Spotify, radio, Apple Music)

Don't remember. Don't know. Even put it in quotes because I don't hear it myself. But it is fun watching him hear it and reacting to it.

I don't need to compare our guys to the rolling stones, but I do hope they beat the all-time-viewing count of Sweet Child of Mine and the song is at least as good as Lisa Nilsson's Himlen runt hörnet

  • I don't generally comment on their recording process because it is what it is and however they do it, I'm just gad we get it. That said... the thought of them going in empty and these musicians writing and working up tunes together in a room is exactly what I have dreamed about.

My stoke for this record is off the charts. Whatever it will be I bet it will certainly be of the moment. In the moment. A present energy. I have zero notes on what they have done in the past but also, I am here for this band being a band and owning it as a unit.
