    Vs with trap beats
  • This makes me excited.  I have wanted them to make music in the studio and not just bring finished demos.   Looking forward to it.  I miss the guitar riffs.

Listening to the 2 Painted Shield albums and the new Brad album, I would say Stone still loves the riffs!
  • Never doubt stones riffs. Unless he tries another buckle up. Then we might have a problem

Would just love some new music to spin - at this point would really love a Lost Dogs II if that was all we got.  2024 seems so far away in many regards.
  • I wonder if the goal is to tighten up the record after tour and roll it out in the late winter/spring.

I want every album to have 5 Stone riffs. On Gigaton all we got from Stone was Buckle Up.

It seems clear now in retrospect that Gigaton was very much Jeff’s album. Stone & Mike both seemed kinda sidelined, certainly in terms of writing but even some in the playing.
Which is why I’m fascinated by the current (or at least recent) dynamic where Stone & now Mike both say “it’s really really close” and Jeff is like “I dunno, maybe halfway?”. It seems like maybe they don’t want the same thing from this record.
Personally? Jeff had his turn last time, let’s hear what the guitarists have up their sleeves.
And I agree, the idea of them writing together in to room sounds like a great change from the last few.

Seconded!  I know the sting will fade with time..but knowing everyone else is goin get their shows brings pain…Also knowing I can’t make the show (if they actually reschedule)…so I’m just left with tickets of no value to me…someone is going to get some great seats if they redo it in 2024!
