17yr 10Club mbr -#45xxx Chicago night 2 OG offer: sec.#219 row 1 reassigned seats: sec 317 row 11 -way worse. Because travelling from Canada, on a regular Ticketmaster purchase I would have declined. All past 10Club ticket purchase were always provided decent seats as a benefit of being a member. Now we have no choice but to suck up the cost of trip to Chicago.
Will still be a great time and show as always. We love visiting Chicago but this does leave a sour taste with how this played out. We may not have travelled to sit in the rooftop of UC with less than ideal sound and view.
Maybe 10Club needs to offer international mbrs the opportunity to decline the offering which would allow a local the seats to enjoy.
How is your number 45xxx for being a member for 17 years? I’ve been a member for 23 years and mine is 216xxx.
Will we be reimbursed for the interest on our cards while we wait for a refund?
This has to be another fuck up, maybe a new email coming
Nice to see shit tons of tickets in these same.sections for "ten club" on secondary sites from900 to 5k
The tickets I originally had are going for over $3,000 each on StubHub (same section/row - maybe not exact seat).
My reassigned seats...are not...
My original section/row $1024 on stubhub new section/row $734

I feel like it shouldn’t be hard to figure out what tickets are being put up on reseller sites and void those memberships. I could be wrong, but I feel like in 2023 it can’t be that difficult to flag those accounts if it is in fact 10C members doing this.

I’m beginning to think that those who weren’t picked Monday/Tuesday got moved forward to the better seats. I also think that just picking Reserved only would have been the better way to go.

I know everyone will hate this, but is it possible that a huge part of the problem is also demand for Chicago specifically?
Seems anyone with a request of any kind put in for them so of course if they fufill all those, some are going to end up with significantly shittier seats.
They really should consider making Ten Club non transferable again so that people who request em, are 100% going vs. let me get em and see if I want to go.
Also, really think, whether we like it or not, if everyone wants good seats and to be able to get seats they're happy with, then they need to play Wrigley instead of the United Center.
This clearly shows that demand outpaces supply in this case, especially on such a limited tour.
Reminds me a lot of when Bruce Springsteen plays an arena in Boston, Philly, or MSG, almost no one ends up happy..........
Of course, things also went off rails with the allocation process, but even beyond that, I still think a lot of folks would have ended up disappointed with their selections.
This is absolutely a huge factor… yeah the lottery has been pretty fucky but we need to remember the demand for chicago specifically has to be INSANE. If for no other reason, Chicago’s accessibility in terms of travel options and cost is far greater than the other cities on this very small tour of average to small sized venues.
Demand for Chicago can explain why 10c seating assignments aren't quite as good as "usual". But it doesn't account for members getting clearly worse seats than people with a higher membership #.
Something is way off. I would love for ten club to address it, but don’t have too much hope.
United center is a huge place and I’m guessing we were all placed with 300 level since those sections are much harder to sell. (Ticketmaster unloaded 300 on us). When on-sale happens I bet all our original assignments are PJ platinum level 😭.
Most other shows at UC sell 300 level at a lower price level because no one wants them or they sell better as a discounted ticket. Lucky us!
So in the "re-set" of ticket allocations it seems that TM have bumped everyone back and created more "premium" tickets at inflated prices.
Nice.
This is what I’ve been saying all day…..have not heard of one person in Chicago moving up on the reassigned seats.
They used their debacle and took advantage of it.

Member 317xxx (I will never forgive myself for letting my original membership from like 1992 - whatever year Angel was the single - lapse and not re-joining until years later.)
On the one hand, I got tickets to both Chicago shows - the only two I requested and the two I assumed would be the toughest to get for this tour. Very happy about that as I tend to bat around .250 through 10Club for tickets (though living in the Northeast, the NYC, Boston and Philly shows are really tough to get - had to go to Canada to get in to the last leg through the fan club). And to be honest, if I hadn't gotten the initial seat assignments I wouldn't really have cared about my seats. I was excited to be in the lower bowl, but like most I have been downgraded.
CHI Night 1 - moved from Section 105 to 208 (though I am on an aisle now, which is great) CHI Night 2 - moved from Section 108 to 316. That one hurts.
Excited to see two more shows in a new city for me, but obviously would have preferred the original draw. But I sat behind the stage with second hand tickets for the 9/11/22 show at MSG and it was incredible, so I'm still looking forward to it.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

I'm trying to make logic sense of this all. I'm guessing the less shows that PJ has, the more they need to charge per show to make it worth while. I'm guessing from the seat locations posted above, a large portion of section 112, 113, 121 and 122 (closest to the stage) have been carved out for the "platinum/premium level tickets". The rationale was letting the rich people pay premium prices for the best seats will allow the 10c to have "reasonable prices" for the "really good seats". Maybe the economics of this tour wasn't what they thought and the only way to make money was to expand the premium seats.

The "new" is literally where I was for the 2010 show with Member# 443xxx
I'm pretty bummed out after keeping my membership going for 15 years.
I didn't even put in for Noblesville and it's my home show (4 minutes away) through 10C. My number is 230xxx and I was sitting in Section D, Row BB in 2010. I was behind people who didn't even know what the 10Club was. I ended up moving to the lawn because the seats were so bad. I'll be in the lawn this year again and with the lawn pass didn't even have to pay for them (specifically).
I think my two seats for Indy are a couple of rows slightly worse than where I was in 2010. You'd think another 13 years of paying for a membership would gain a few spots, but I guess not.
