Ten Club Seat (Temporary?) Location (Austin)

edited May 2023 in The Porch
I noticed that seat locations for Austin are much worse than prior tours. Is this the case for all shows on this tour or just Austin?

I don't recall TC tix in the 200's (upper bowl).  Also seems all tickets are at the back. No wing seats.

I’ve heard the top row isn’t that bad so anything will do.

I shouldn’t have said bad. Just not super close. Went to a boxing match there a few months ago and it is really small arena so I doubt there are any bad seats at all.
  • I got 219 row c. I've honestly never been 2nd deck. Looks to be directly over Mike's side right up front. Seems like my seats have moved in the opposite direction. St Louis last September,  1st level but further back then I had received in the last 10 years?

213 row A for night one. If going to be upper deck straight back  front row is the spot up there.

Night 2 is not good. Row M up in a corner 226.

Never been upper deck with 10c

I got 112 Row A. Are these okay seats for viewing being so low across the bowl from the stage?

Floor row 16 behind GA both nights. Far and away the worst 10c seats I’ve ever received, and I normally see shows in the Northeast. I’ve got to think a lot of the allocation of premium tickets has to be in the wing sections and is contributing to pushing us back.

I got excellent seats, not pit but otherwise as close to the stage as you can ask for. And I know a few other people who also got tickets on the floor and the sides in the 100's with excellent seats they are very excited about. It's just a small room and there was a lot of demand. Moody Center holds 15,000 vs MSG's 21,000 or Deer Creek's 25,000

Much smaller. From what u can tell, Moody holds ~10K for a basketball game and ~15K for a concert with GA. MSG had announced sell-out crowds of 19,812 for each of this past weekend’s Knicks games. Moody boasts about having an abnormally large GA capacity, and I’m not positive what the Garden’s concert capacity is exactly, but it’s definitely well north of 20K (with the rear-stage seats sold).

However, they are basically the same shape. I’m in the 200’s for both Austin shows, and I was in the 200’s for last year’s MSG show. Very similar results for me.

They are getting more club seats for these shows starting with the cancelled 2020 tour. It means that club tickets are no longer guaranteed to be great seats, but there’s more of us in there.

Section 114 and 113, Row P for both.

Beginning to think that 10c membership seniority no longer counts towards seat placement. I was nearly the last row at Camden last year, and now across the bowl for Austin. I’m happy to have tickets, but wondering why I’ve continuously paid membership fees for 25 years.

Section 111 both nights.  If this pattern keeps up I may just try my hand on the Verified Fan or secondary market in the future rather than put in for fan club tix...

It's like that for most places.. Normally I would want better seats, but, Moody and Dickies aren't that big of a place. Seats will be good to awesome wherever you are in my opinion. Just how it shaked out this time around. Check out some images of those places, making it in the building before the public sale is a winner IMO.

Thanks for the info - the more Ten Club folks in the crowd the more energy that can create.  Looking forward to these shows :-)

Having been to the moody for several shows in the past year or whatever it’s been since it opened- and it’s my opinion so others can throw in theirs- is that it’s really not the best venue for music.  Bummer, since they had an opportunity to work on the sound since it’s so new.  It’s not huge but for a space that seats only 15k, it certainly sounds like echoey trash unfortunately, especially on the floor and if you’re high up on the sides in the lower level.  We’ve never been in the 200’s/upper level though- maybe it sounds better though? For dmb we actually had to leave because where we were on the corner you couldn’t make out Dave’s lyrics it was so muddy.  We tried to move around but at least in the 100’s it was horrible. For Roger waters we were the first row above the floor, but the stage was in the round so not really comparable, but it was still echoey, you’d hear the snare and kick drum drums echo back at you, making the whole thing kinda a mess.  Im really hoping I’m not let down again, but I’m not extremely excited about this place as a venue for music.

I thought it was just me who was thinking this. I got very nice seats for FW1 with my #6 pick and was thinking I should be scoring some great tickets for Austin. AUS2 I am S206 RowN. This is almost the last row side stage to the point where I am confused how they are not marking these as limited view? AUS1 I have a very mediocre 208 pair. I had the same thing last time where I got great seats to Vegas as pick #5 when other people were totally shut out.

By the rules explained to us, the demand for FW1 is close to 0 because I won the lottery with pick #6 and got great seats. The shows in Austin must be off the charts demand wise (or there are very few tickets). But why would Mon-Tues in Austin have insane demand over shows near Dallas? No idea.

I will just drop them on F2F and get something better, so all is fine. Just seems like a waste of time and energy.

Membership number 508XXX (10 years). Not sure how I get the worst seats in the arena.

I went with Austin over FW as there was no off day between the shows; one less hotel night to pay for
