I'm starting to doubt we'll ever get another 95 or 96 show. They were playing a 95 on PJ radio this morning, and the sound was awful. I was disappointed with he official Soldier Field release. I think maybe those recordings aren't as good as we thought or hoped. I think they will do Benny soon. Probably not 12, but before 15 is my guess.
They need to release the Salt Lake City '95 show, officially. That one is available in SBD quality.
I think AV2 is from a bootleged video feed so it may not be up to their standards... I was thinking... What about the 2002 Showbox show? Surely they multi-tracked that show for the DVD? There's no official audio version...
I mean, I sometimes feel we lack imagination only asking for shows that have soundboards already. Surely there's something else in the vaults from these tours that's never seen the light of day.
How about Key Arena '96? This was the last big Seattle show(s) I never attended. Always was curious how it was
Another 98 show like Alpine Valley 2. It was recorded it can be found on YT.
But now, we need a 96 show.
Agree! Would love to have Berlin '96 on wax.

Why would that be a vault and not a re-release?
Not like Easy Street, Give Way etc were vaults

Yeah I would LOVE to see something that was never shared over @ http://db.etree.org . An old audience recording upgrade or a show never shared in the audio trading community that would blow our minds. That would be a killer Vault release.
I'd love PJ20, personally. I'd also love some more Jack-era stuff as well. I just get the feeling the vaults may be winding down. I have no reason to believe that it's true, just a gut feeling.

Definitely could just be a rerelease. I just picture vaults being a special show, and the benny fits that. Its not like they're putting out tons of new unreleased material. Last 3 vaults on vinyl were already available (counting 1 &2 being rereleased for vinyl), kind of seemed to fit the pattern.
Yeah, I'm kinda over things being true "vault". Just give us well (re?) mastered shows on vinyl. IDC if I've had it for years or not.
Totally agree. In the beginning I wanted the vaults to be shows that were not already available, but I think with quite a few of the vaults being shows that were already previously available, it suggests to me that there can't be much unreleased shows left for them to put out there. I'm guessing that the 1996, 1998, 2004, Europe 2007 shows that people are desperate for, they simply don't have. Or they don't have them as complete shows or of release-worthy quality. If they had full shows from those tours stashed away I'm guessing we might have seen some of those shows released already, rather than some of the other stuff we have seen.
So I'm at the point where I'm more than happy for them to release some of the best bootleg-era shows that we already have on CD, so we have them on vinyl for the first time. Things like Seattle 2 2000, Vegas 2000, New York 2 2003, Mansfield 3 2003, State College 2003, Gorge 2005/2006, Bonnaroo 2008, Leeds 2014 etc., etc. I'd much rather have some of the absolute best bootleg-era shows, than anything of substandard quality that was before 2000.
To be honest, I prefer the shows from 2000 onwards as well, because with more albums to choose from, the setlists are more varied.
London #1 2000, Reading 2006, London 2007, London 2009, London 2010, Manchester #1 2012, Manchester #2 2012, Manchester 2012 (EV), Milton Keynes 2014, London #2 2017 (EV), London #1 2018, London #2 2018, London #1 2022, London #2 2022, Manchester 2024.
No interest in vinyl at all. Whatever music remains locked away out there, however much or how little, that is what interests me. That is what the vault was originally about, that is why it was interesting, and that remains what interests me.

Given that the first 2 weren't even originally available on vinyl, I have to agree the intent was to just get old stuff out there. So I get where your coming from.
On the other hand, there is thousands of hours of stuff readily available. I don't really need more. So for me, its more about the vinyl. I'm pretty sure I have a lot of CD boots I've never listened to. I have about half the 2000 tour and I know I listened to those. But since then, I got a few of the box sets and didn't keep track of what I listened to or not, just would pop one in at random. I know there's a bunch I've never heard sitting on my shelf right now. Highlighting one show and putting it on vinyl, I'll give it a listen.
Bridge Schools would be amazing to get on vinyl. A boxset or individual releases for every year they played (as many of the years they played both nights, you could put each night on one vinyl, for a double vinyl set). This could also be an amazing idea to have something to put on on RSD for a number of years.
I'm still against releasing stuff already officially release on soundboard, like the post above this one With one release a year, it's a shame to waste it on stuff that already circulates in really good quality.
I'd accept Berlin '96 if there's no other '96 shows that could be released instead. The '95's i'm not so sure. Most of the '95 bootlegs were from FM radio, but none of them really sound all that great. If they don't have the soundboards for more older shows, i'm not sure?
Could always do more '98's
My biased wants (ie shows i've been too):
Missoula '98 Seattle Key Arena shows from 2002 (either one, preferably the first show) Vancouver 2000 (The show at the Commodore) Vancouver '98
none of those have soundboard, official or not official.
Unbiased Wants: ( I was not at any of these shows):
Santa Barbara 2003 PJ 20 shows A show from 1996 (Randall's Island? I've read that one is legendary) A show from the early '98 tour when Jack Iron's was playing (Give Way is great, maybe one of the other shows from that same tour) London and/or Wrigley 2013 2004 Tour (I don't think any of those shows got releases) House of Blues 2005 (Chicago) Bridge School shows Wembley 2007
So many cool things they could put out that have never been released before.
edit: I added Wembley as per a suggestion above. I forgot they did a show there, and i also forgot that I don't think any of the 2007 shows got released before?
