Is the Vault vinyl series done?

I thought I read something to this affect. What’s the latest rumor or thoughts on this? Hopefully there is more to come.

Why would it be? Seems like a "big" seller. But maybe not.

they used 2021 and 2022 to get  1 and 2 on LP.   No reason to think that it is done.  but also no reason to think it is moving forward because we do not get clear information.

  • That they didn’t highlight vault releases as one of the perks of the new structured 10c-membership makes me think that there are no clear plan for future vault releases. We’ll see.

I would think a vault is an easy cash cow. All the band would do is give a thumbs up to whatever show was chose and watch them sell thousands of records at $60 each. Then all the suckers who pay more so they can have it on CD or digital too. I don’t see why they would stop. But it has seemed a little lazy with the 1994 show that didn’t get the full treatment and then 1 and 2.

Atlanta 94 still needs a pressing. I’m not gonna start hand wringing about the vault being done until we hit summer and we haven’t heard anything.

Exactly. Don't these things usually go on sale in July or August?

Was t Atlanta 94 like 2 years ago? I doubt it’s getting a pressing at this point, but I hope it does.

Sure. Alternatively, they can just release the "Give Way" vinyl on RSD.

I mean, Seattle 92 and Chicago 07 were over a decade ago and they were the last 2 pressings.

Historically yes. Last years went up in March/April or something. Which made sense given the current vinyl production lead times.

Perhaps they don't want to over-saturate the market. Could have pallets of them waiting...once the dust settles after rsd...BOOM...

presales usually start in august. so i guess we wait till august/september and then we'll know.

As far as I can tell the vaults sell out pretty easily. I'm a little surprised they would stop making them. But I can also see them focusing on RSD instead. It's a shame, it does feel like there is no desire to keep it going.

Exactly. Got my 1st one March 2022, now have them all. Would LOVE a new one. I guess after the Atlanta 94, weird that this has not happened yet.

I would 100% prefer Vaults vs RSD offerings.
Obviously RSD offers a wider consumer base, and less manufacturing cost vs producing the Vault packages, so I can see why they would go this route if they had to choose one over the other.

I refuse to believe that "the vault" contains no more previously unreleased shows in quality good enough to make money off of.

I hope not.  It's our best bet for getting unreleased shows released in high quality audio.

Even though I prefer unreleased material, I would like to see Atlanta '94 to keep the set complete.

It doesn't seem like the announced it was over.  It felt like they listened to our thread asking them to put 1 and 2 on vinyl.. hopefully we get new stuff after Atlanta gets pressed :)

Where do people see signs that it would be over? What have I missed?

The membership changes didn’t mention anything about access to vaults and Facebook. You know, the usual reliable sources!

I gave up on the last one because of the ill-defined shipping dates and my travel schedule. Got tired of melted vinyl

We do know most (all?) of the 98 shows were recorded, as that's when they had planned to start the bootleg series.

It's also weird that they couldn't put Breath from MSG 98 on LO2L because payment reasons, but I know I've heard that song on SiriusXM.

It's been said that the band didn't like the sound quality (the mix, perhaps?) and it seems like it was a result of too many guests. There could also be some royalty issues in there.

But why not do a "best of" in sort of a format like LO2L or Let's Play Two? Seven or eight songs per night could work.
