It was supposed to be.  Where was it pressed?
it was another plant. They sent an email a few months back and said construction delays kept it from being done at VMP

They are up in my parts.  Good deal.  Not sure if I have anything else from them.  You should update discogs if you know this to be factual.

Thanks again.  I don't know how I missed this email,  if I got it. Probably got caught up in one of my monthly mass deletes.

That's shorthand for the pressing sold by VMP.

    No hummus. Annoyed.
Can this be confirmed?  It'd be a drag if it wasn't on there.

Sorry folks, I disagree with many of the sentiments here.  I have a very revealing system and there is no material difference between this and the recent reissue.  You can give this one maybe a 1/2 point better as it's a 45 and will play cleaner through the inner grooves.  But let's be realistic, it should NOT sound materially better.  This is the same mix by Bob Ludwig as the last release.  And the last pressing was done by MPO who is a very good plant.  The sound between the two should be, and is very close.

I give VMP credit for a nice color vinyl and a very nice gatefold package.  I don't know if they use Stoughton printing for the gatefold, but it sure looks to be at that level.  So I think the price is quite fair for a double.  It's about the same price that AP will charge for a AAA single release.  But sound wise, it's right there with the reissue.

It is not on there. I listened to my copy last night.
  • I’m kicking myself for not buying. If anyone is unsatisfied with theirs, please PM me and I’ll take it off your hands

I’m a bit miffed at its exclusion, as it was clearly in the track list, when on sale.  How about a one-off “holiday” single with it, for old times sake?
  • Got this today with no shipping notice. Honestly, I forgot I ever bought this.
  • I thought it would never come! Giving it a first listen and so far the quality of the sound is what I expected. It’s an excellent pressing with nice detail across the instruments (you can hear the funky rhythm guitar at the end of Pilate nicely) and the bass is solid without overpowering Ed’s vocals. Low light sounds very crisp.

With that said, if you missed out on this or canceled and have the 2016 reissue then you’re probably good to go, but I love the packaging and the consistency of a 45.

If I can make a suggestion: Isolate the turntable from your speakers. Your vinyl will sound much better.
