IMO, I don't think it would work. I agree with what you posted yesterday in the Trump thread that he is an enigma. I don't think any (or many) candidates could get away with his type of personal attacks on opponents.

This is the crux of the challenge.  I read that "Dems are stupid", "Dems have no strategy", but this little interaction here by a couple of smart, handsome and wickedly good-looking guys, shows that it's not easy to navigate this and take down a cult leader.  You guys can't even agree on how to attack.

I would say there are a few policy positions, that while humane and probably the right thing to do, enabled the R's to really paint the D's in a corner.  The one with Harris talking about trans issues I think was damaging.

That audio of her talking about transgender surgeries in jail really seems to be the nail in the coffin. Who knows though, there could’ve been nothing done by them to take Trump down. It’s all speculative at this point.
