Mine arrived and was "processed" in LA on September 20.. then took a 10 day ride to Frankfurt :)  It has left Frankfurt enroute to the destination it says now..but who knows. I knew Ames would take care of whatever but wanted to let them know. This is what they replied :)

"That's a great question. We rechecked and confirmed the correct delivery address. The USPS works in mysterious ways.... luckily the item is insured. AND, hopefully it shows up soon. Keep us posted."

Yeah, I couldn't find it and by the time I did, it was sold out. What was the price?

Never saw it until sold out
  • Haven’t cracked the code for their drops. Searched, looked on all 3 pages of instock items and never saw it
  • That was way too easy.
Maybe I'll go buy some lotto tix.

I'd love to see how many they sold of these. I like that they will contact them to get sizing as well.

    This^

It didn't load until about 12:02 central on the prints page, so I know I was clicking on different pages looking for it, especially since the bot bait was already up.

Luckily I saw it in time and got one.

I am getting ready to mail a poster. Is the tube that you get from the venue sturdy enough to mail it in? I also have one of the triangular ones you can get at the post office. It seems pretty sturdy, are those better to mail posters in?

I've never had a problem mailing with the tubes you get at the venue, just tape the top and bottom very securely.

I wouldn't mail a venue tube or any others that are flimsy enough to crush by hand. The thicker yazoos and the like are better for mailing. If you do use a thinner tube, putting it in a triangle mailer would be a good idea as it is less likely to roll somewhere it could be crushed

I would caution against using the show tube.

The triangle ones from the post office are not very sturdy IMHO. If it is an expensive poster, get a heavy duty tube.

I found a thicker walled tube one we use for construction prints. The diameter is bigger than the venue tube though, probably by an inch.
