This is my 4th cancelation now for this band. Which is fine. But why have people buy hundreds dollars of merch for a show you know isn’t going to happen. It’s fine, just the cost of a poster and shirt. Pretty crap move by the band in my opinion

I'm somehow both stunned but not surprised. Whatever damage was done to Ed is serious and getting scarier with each cancellation.
When you have that kind of problem all you can do is rest rest rest the voice so you don't cause MORE permanent damage in future. They could've cx last 2 shows ahead and saved fans the stress. Sad
Yeah, what's the point. They should call it a day and come back strong next year and start the leg with the 4 cancelled shows. How good can tomorrow's show be if today is a straight "not possible". Doubt Ed is back to 100 percent tomorrow.
Seems like it would be in everyone’s best interest to just cancel tomorrow now too ….I dunno
They should cancel tomorrow's show, head home, let Ed relax, and rest his voice.
I'm in complete agreement. People stressing over it all day today will have the same experience tomorrow. Not good.

If he doesn’t have a voice today he’s not going to be magically ready to sing for two hours tomorrow. Just announce the cancellation and give the fans a chance to try and plan around that even a little bit.

I don't think Jack was discounting the fall tour, more talking about a Euro tour next year and including the cancelled dates this year

There are a bunch of rules re: insurance which have as much to do with how this goes as what the band actually wants. Touring is expensive and complicated and it’s entirely possible they are required to get a diagnosis day of in order to pull the gig.
I hate to say it, but it’s been a week since Paris and he’s had 6 nights off. If there’s that much damage still, there’s no way he’s going to be better in 24 hours.

Yep, although I would assume it would also be fine to have a doctor say he needs X days’ vocal rest.

Total disgrace! Understanding for not having a voice, not for cancelling only 4 hours before showtime! Lots of angry people here
I get it, it sucks. I had that first experience of a cancellation back in 2000 (Foo show) and then again this year with the PJ Vegas show.
That being said, if folks are angry - just head to the red light district. Get yourself a girl and a joint. Already got a girl? Add a third wheel. Take the sting out of it. You will be fine. Enjoy Amsterdam.
