William from PJ merch apparently told people in the queue that the show is on for tonight but will likely involve Stone and Matt singing a couple of songs.

It may end up being a weird but fun night in that case.

Saw Mike and his family walking around the city at lunchtime so I don’t think the band are working up any UFO covers for tonight, but maybe Mike will pull out Eruption and ATBL🤘

Paid to see Pearl Jam and to have someone other than EV singing say up to half the songs will not be PJ.  If multiple songs done by anyone other than EV is actually what they are considering then there should be transparency and allow us to opt out and get refunds.   I don’t want to hear Stone or Jeff sing garbage like Sweet Lew And Don’t Gimme No Lip

Sometimes twists and turns have unintended consequences that bring out positive energy. I never enjoyed Black live - ever. Suddenly I found myself enjoying it in Fresno with Dave on the drums. I went in disappointed Matt wouldn’t be drumming but once on the floor it felt as if you’re watching the band mess around and rehearse at the warehouse. Even Josh went onstage for the opening slot with that mentality…anything can happen. Just go with the flow and enjoy.

I would personally love a weird, different experience like that!

And in any case, it's better than no show!

Would Fresno have been so miraculous if EV wasn’t singing?  Could you still have been all rainbows and fairy dust and ice cream farts if that had been the case?   There is no making a good situation out of any of this unless we get a full on PJ show tonight which is what we paid for.

I think the person who says there should be transparency and a refund option is correct.  It’s great that some people would enjoy the go with the flow stuff, but for those that wouldn’t, they should have a choice.

I was robbed! I spent the whole night waiting for the Great Pumpkin when I could have been out for tricks or treats! Halloween is over and I missed it! You blockhead! You kept me up all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin and all that came was a beagle! I didn’t get a chance to go out for tricks or treats! And it was all your fault! I’ll sue! What a fool I was. And could have had candy apples and gum! And cookies and money and all sorts of things! But no, I had to listen to you! You blockhead. What a fool I was. Trick or treats come only once a year. And I miss it by sitting in a pumpkin patch with a blockhead. You owe me restitution!

My thought is they are waiting as long as possible to get the okay to play.   It could be insurance I guess, but just hopefully give them the benefit of the doubt.  They are lining up new doctors in new cities I imagine.

How about this: Offer a flight/hotel/ticket package, maybe marked up to include insurance, and then when they cancel you got all your flight/hotel/ticket $$ back?

At least an hour of free form jazz with Eddie scatting and snapping his fingers.

My prediction- tonight’s set will consist of Jeff singing a 2 1/2 hour version of Sweet Lew while Ed runs around the stage dribbling and throwing basketballs into the crowd.
