Some real (but not unexpected at this late date) news:
Got it confirmed yesterday via the premium sales office at Fenway that Pearl Jam is definitely not playing there in 2023. Scratch those rumors off of any lists.
All eyes on Mansfield then 👀...
Barf... I'll take any show I can get right now, but I hate that venue w/ the heat of a thousand suns.
- Fenway is NOT happening this year, but Boston has been name checked. TD Garden, or Xfinity Theatre (home of the Mansfield Experiment)??
- more than one source still says Chicago (no Wrigley), and all eyes are on Northerly Island
- and if you go back far enough in the thread, more than one person has heard "September" (before & after February)
- Ed at Ohana? Safe bet. Whole band? Fingers crossed for that Sunday🤞
- RE: the usual ACL rumor, it was popping up on StubHub searches earlier in the year, but has since disappeared. No other info.
- Pearl Jam in Mexico? There was a post on NYE on Twitter that seemed to tease it...
- a board member heard from sources in the touring industry that the band was in talks for ampitheatres/sheds in Aug/Sept, but nothing concrete. I made a list of corresponding venues a few posts ago.
- a new board member seems to be in the know (nice handle, FaceMeltor ) has teased:
"Chicago early September is in the works. Not Wrigley."
"When would you expect an announcement for a tour that overlaps both seasons?" (I take this as late summer/early fall)
"Would you like to hear about Boston in September too, or just Chicago?"
"No to Lolla and ACL as of right now."
"Its east to west, and Northerly too."
Also, I'm giving up on the April/May rumor. Krist posted pics of 3rd Secret rehearsing (thanks Demetrios), so unless Matt is heading straight to the PJ workspace next week, I don't think May is happening. Would love to be wrong. We'll find out on 03/21, as that seems to be the point of no return with past tour announcements for something a month & a half away.
I'll be focusing on late summer/early fall on the speculation thread. Just figured I'd Cliff's Notes this stuff here beforehand

Chicago rumors yes, Northerly Island has been just assumption. PJ will not play that mediocre, half ass venue.

Minneapolis is now rumoured in early September. Chicago and Noblesville should be next. Northerly definitely has a hold or had a hold.
My Boston info was from awhile ago. It was either wrong or something changed when they went from two legs this year to one. No clue if it is getting a show now.

Looking forward to September. Northerly seems to be the venue of choice for many PJ sized bands this summer. Makes sense with VedPunk saying outdoor sheds on the plans for late summer.

Minneapolis is rumored? Rumored how? Because we want them to play there or you have a source?

Thanks, Facemeltor. Good to know that 2 legs were in the plans at some point. Was fun gaming out April & May.

Nothing I can find so far. PJNB might be closer with Somerset. My guess is the Target Center. It's operated by ASM Global, and the 2008 tour was a mix of arenas & outdoor venues.

As much as I want a trifecta (or more) of NE shows, Boston did have the distinction of "having seen them last" in 2018 before the shit hit the fan. Part of what made Sea Hear Now so cathartic: 3 years!

What WAS: A spring 2023 USA Gigaton tour and a new album some time after that, but maybe in 2023.
Well, they found that same restart button they smashed when they canceled that "2018 new album."
What is starting to seem: High gear on the new album and a late summer 2023 tour WITH new music.
It seems like it's been a hot minute since they played the USA in the summer. 2016? Maybe? Or maybe that's just because they tend to love those European festivals in June and July.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"

Cleveland/Columbus?
Grand Rapids had a couple bangers within a couple of years
Stone's playing with Painted Shield, Matt is recording with 3rd Secret, Ed is likely involved with Ohana after playing solo...I don't know, I'm not optimistic that they are speeding along on a new album.

I am staying optimistic that the reason they have been able to offer posters signed by all the members of the band, is because all the members of the band have been in the same place at the same time. Thus, recording new music.
Yes, obviously they can sign one at a time via courier services or whatever but I am going with what I am going with.

I've given up holding my breath... lest I choke on the air.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
