May 4th - Jazzfest (Festival) May 6th - Houston May 8 - Dallas May 10 - Kansas City May 12 - Minneapolis May 14 - Madison or Milwaukee May 16 - Detroit May 18 - Indianapolis May 20 - Cleveland May 22 - Buffalo May 24 - Pittsburgh May 25 - Sonic Temple Columbus (Festival) May 28 - Boston Calling (Festival) May 30 and June 1 - Citizens Bank Park Philly
The fall 2020 tour was supposed to include Columbus or Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago (not Wrigley) and, IIRC, the Wisconsin/Minnesota area.
A Philadelphia show or two in late 2020 also would have made sense.
Had that happened, I also could have easily seen Indianapolis be a thing.
Is this a legit rumor or wishful thinking? Would be amazing…
A little of both - I have a good feeling about Bonnaroo at a minimum

Can't believe they haven't played Asia in almost 20 years.
I can see them playing Jazzfest. 2016's show was under rated in terms of setlists. Would also lineup with the ACL rumour. Not sure where they would play around the south in the spring though.. Dallas? Houston? Florida? Non-stadium Chicago?!
So far the biggest rumour for Jazzfest seems to be Dead & Co, as they were supposed to play 2020, but we know how that went and with this being their last major tour it seems like a given.
PJ should play 3 nights in Cancun as a destination of sorts.. That would be awesome.
Dead could be a Sunday same weekend headliner or opposite weekend. I think jazz fest announces around 1/23.
How sure are we about the Citizens Bank Park rumors for May 30 & June 1?

Curious to hear what you're thinking now with all of the rumours and updates! I was REALLY enjoying your tour speculation thread. Maybe too much hahaha

Gotcha. June 1st & 3rd would be great if it happens.
They have a game on June 5th - so I don’t know how they could get the field ready following a June 3rd show - so I guessed 30th/1st as my two complete guesses

Are we really going to get a spring tour dropped on the 10th (never happens on the 10th) with no real arena rumours out there? Maybe just a couple of festivals announced first? Maybe nothing? Either way this is the quietest this thread has ever been starting a new year....

No. Typically a festival announces the line up and some time is given to sell tickets. PJ dates announced shortly thereafter if they are happening.
My understanding is that if an artist is signed to play a festival, they cannot play a festival in the country for a certain amount of time and no other shows within a certain radius are permitted. My guess is one festival with PJ dates either before or after that in the spring and maybe the same in the fall. I still have my doubts about spring dates, that would a short time since the last shows (at least for Pearl Jam). ACL does not announce the lineup until May.

When was the last time they announced festival shows in the USA before announcing a tour? 2014 I think?

Hmm not sure. ACL 2014 I think or the South American Lolla shows in 2015.
Usually something has slipped out by now if there are spring NA dates. Telluride and The EV stuff are the only things I remember truly sneaking up on us in the past decade...but I'm getting old and may have forgotten something. Speaking of getting old, they are 10 years older than me so let's get on with some live shows while we still can.

Not necessarily, the relationship between the band and the festival organisers also play a part. Here in the Netherlands they played Pinkpop and then two nights (well one night) in Amsterdam which is around two hours drive apart. They played Werchter festival, although in Belgium is about an hour drive from Pinkpop and also Frankfurt, although in Germany, only a three hour drive from Pinkpop (I live five minutes drive from Pinkpop lol)
They love Pinkpop and Werchter it seems, and AMS is bound to sell out even though they play so close.

That makes sense, maybe it is the same promoter and perhaps the rules are different in Europe.
Keep in mind that some of our friends here that have had information in the past may have gotten that information from old management. Purely speculative here, but that could be a reason for lack of rumors lately.
