I heard both MN shows will just be Prince covers.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

A week from now we will all be bitching about the lotto. Can't wait!
And bitching about the lotto means we're one step closer to bitching about setlists :)
Then bitching about merch lines, merch quality, merch times, show length, band energy, song count, parking lots, traffic, delayed flights, poster, design of poster, cost of poster on eBay, bootleg release, Eddie’s voice, new songs played, covers played, drunk idiots at the show, weather and who got sick .
I’m usually in the camp of bitching about people who bitch.  Does that count?
Great point and yes, technically that does count and was missed by me. Appreciate your attention to detail.

Nope, they're practicing Kiss by Prince. Imagine Ed struggling through the high pitched screaming section...

Man I didn't like that song when Prince sang it. Can't imagine it getting worse

Listen to Ed singing 'If you want blood (you got it)' leading into 'Blood' from 11/25/09 to get the closest approximation of what a cover of Prince's 'Kiss' would sound sound like.

It's 10:34 am in Seattle and the email hasn't come this late on a Monday since the 20XX tour announcement! (fill in your state/country) hasn't had a show in <blank> years, and the waiting drove me mad! I was sure the .json leaks promised sheds, but now I'm just a gutted member of team next week!

2023 tour merch - You all have survived every day and probably not once thought about how much better your life would be with X city 2023 poster and sticker.   Now, knowing this, think about going to a Pearl Jam concert and sleeping in until 10am on show day, walking around the city, grabbing lunch, dinner and a few brews, and then heading into the show with no bag of merch or poster tube that you are watching like a hawk so it doesn't get stolen or damaged.    It is liberating.

For Ed to max out sales at Ohana while our window to submit PTO shortens, flights and hotels increase in price. They know their dates and not cool that they are making us wait while it costs us more. I guess the silver lining is that we don't have to pay the crazy ticket prices so far in advance.

I know that someone will immediately throw up on this, but................

It's possible that Pearl Jam is going to do these dates either way, but may be waiting to determine if they are going to go out on the Neil Young joint tour idea that's been floated.

As previously noted, Neil has two shows later this month and may be waiting to see how those goes to evaluate if he wants to go out on tour or not (see how he feels after not playing shows since 2019).

For further support regarding his wait and see approach, see his response to a question from this week below.

To me, it would make sense to hold off on announcing a tour if you may be going out with someone else or may be going out as just your group and aren't YET sure which one it will be.

Again, I agree that on the surface, it seems far fetched, but when you look at the facts, there's a lot about it that lines up, to a point, where it's actually possible (not saying likely, just saying possible).

In addition, the playlist said enjoy all of April. By end of April, Neil will have played Stephen Stills' benefit with Lukas Nelson and POTR and Willie's 90th Birthday Weekend and likely have a better feel for how he feels about playing live.

Completely acknowledge that Pearl Jam may also just like to wait long to announce things (would make sense and be semi-consistent with their history).

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Purple Rain again on the setlist? UGH!!!

    Just practicing...
Purple Rain will be a lock for the Minnesota shows.
Rumor has it, they've been rehearsing Gett Off instead.
Hard cosign on this. Only thing better is if Neil does it.

No one thinks that, it would have been a couple hours ago if so. Lotta people do think it’s this week though
