I’m not crazy about Gigaton but it’s 25% of the setlist this tour. I’ve only listened to the album once so maybe it grows on you?
I’m with you on this one. I’m not a fan of the album like most on here are but I trust that I’ll enjoy the songs enough live. Hope so if a large portion of the show is dedicated to them.
I wouldn’t mind a few Earthling covers though, to cross promote Ed’s album. I listen to that more than Gigaton at this moment. Gigaton was a long time ago….

I still love Gigaton (Buckle Up is questionable) and can’t wait to see the songs live.
I looked around me when Buckle Up started and saw the exact mixed reactions that song seems to inspire: some people promptly sat down; others were stoked. Made me chuckle.

I like Gigaton a lot more than most post-2000 pj albums. That being said, if sets are “only” going to be 22-25 songs, I think 5 or 6 songs off it max would be right amount.
On another note, I think the shorter set lists probably means no 'album shows' this tour.

Honestly I think we're done with the album shows entirely unless they decide to do the newer records. If they were gonna do Vitalogy or Riot Act they would have already, and they haven't made any indication that they're gonna be repeating any of them

The set lists so far are really disappointing. I bought tix for Amsterdam over a year ago when there was no US tour scheduled and they’ve rescheduled twice. Unfortunately when you buy tickets on Viagogo you can’t get a refund unless tour is cancelled. Ironically, the cost to fly to Amsterdam is the same as going to California. The fees on all these sites are so ridiculous that it’s very difficult to recoup your cost.
I agree on the covers though they do a great job on Baba O Reilly. I guess I’ll give Gigaton some more listens.

I enjoyed Buckle Up at Ohana Encore. Maybe I am just one of the weird ones. 🤷♂️

I might be the only person in the world who is neutral: it's fine; not my favorite, but not terrible. I have now heard it the only two times it's been performed live!
On a second listen of Gigaton, I find the latter part of the album much better. Ironically the tracks I like the least are the ones they released initially.

A serious question: you belong to the Pearl Jam fan club, yet you've only listened to their latest album once in the more than two years since its release. Why? What has kept you from listening to it? How firm can your impression that you're "not crazy" about it be if you've only heard it once?

Agreed. Even the songs I don't like have a 200+ count on my iTunes. Give it a chance.
I'm excited to hear the Gigaton songs and glad they are being featured, but I won't be upset if River Cross gets scratched like it did last night.
I’m hoping River Cross and Buckle up don’t show up at my shows, especially now With such a limited amount of set list spots. 32-35 songs , fine. But low 20s? Please do not play those haha. They both have to be crowd / momentum killers anyway.

At least I think that was the case. I’d better go look that up.

edit: hoping for 30 songs tonight in LA. It’s a Saturday and I’m ready to party! They were just resting up for tonight.
I just wish they were mixed with some rarities; rathered than their greatest hits.
So many great songs are being missed out on..

Happy they seem happy about their new album. Enough to play songs off it.
