The Eddie Vedder and the Earthlings concerts scheduled for tomorrow February 15, 2022, at the Magnolia in San Diego and Thursday, February 17, 2022, at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles have regretfully been postponed.

We have been following Covid protocols but still had a positive test in our touring party. The appropriate response is to postpone the next two shows. Everyone, please take care.

Rescheduled concert dates are as follows:

  • February 25, 2022: Los Angeles, YouTube Theater
  • February 27, 2022: San Diego, The Magnolia

Previously purchased tickets are valid for the rescheduled dates. If you cannot attend the rescheduled dates and desire a refund for your ticket, ticket refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.

Looks like this spread beyond just Josh, which is a shame. I hope everyone is feeling well. Doesn't bode well for the as to yet be rescheduled PJ dates

  • Wow! I'm sorry that LA show has been postponed from this Thursday the 17th to a Friday, the 25th. This rescheduling works for me, allowing me to still drive to Tempe that weekend to see Tame Impala. Stay safe Eddie and everyone!

That sucks for those who may not be able to go. As for it boding well, or not, for PJ I don't think it's relevant. They pushed it back a week.
As someone who finally caught it two years in last week, it's inevitable. The tour is happening only question is when.

Screwed as well - Ticketmaster is refusing to refund at this point.  Might have been a good idea to give them a heads up.

Seems to me like they just lucked out on tour routing and with it being the end of a short run of shows (and that the venues had openings)

  • For everyone needing a refund for either the LA or San Diego show...here's how. You need to sign into your Ticketmaster account and pull up that show. There will be an area to request a refund (some text, a button, a few steps to follow). You MUST do it before February 21 or no refund. Good luck!

I didn't see any place to request a refund.  I sent an e-mail to Ticketmaster earlier today and they responded that the "Event Organizer" has not authorized refunds.  If anyone please has success please let me know how you handled things.  Thanks!

I think you are right, this would be extremely tough to pull off on a full PJ run of dates say across Europe

In the winter during the toughest wave yet sure but in the summer with a lot of restrictions hopefully removed for good I am confident we will be in a better place concert wise and this will definitely be not as much of a concern.

Hope you are right, it will only take one member catching this damn thing though and the tour goes to shit. I cant see PJ playing on like Ed did without Josh the other night....and with no restrictions - covid could be more common

Could be a big problem for those of us travelling to a few euro shows late cancellations or postponements wont be easy to rearrange

Something I have been wondering about since Eddie made the announcement Thursday about Josh. Going forward, at some point would it possible to have a person test positive, be asymptomatic, but still have them perform? Keep them isolated on the stage and back stage away from other performers and masked up? While not ideal, with the very real likelihood that performers will be testing positive for the foreseeable future, postponing and delaying shows will be a huge headache. I feel very fortunate that they didn't cancel last minute on Thursday night when Josh tested positive. Nothing is easy in this thing for sure.

I wonder if PJ will consider having Josh be an understudy of sorts for awhile. It might not go off without some hitches, but Josh could probably fill in for Stone, Jeff or Mike if he had to. They wouldn't have the entire catalog available, but could lean on songs Ed plays guitar on, or Mike plays the main riff, and pull it off I'm sure.

And this guy could always fill in on drums if Matt is out...

I used the "Contact Us" button in the bottom right of my browser (when in the specific ticket order in My Tickets) to send a message requesting a refund. I got a fairly prompt response confirming my request.  If you're still looking to submit for a refund, try that.

I have tickets to both San Diego and LA. For a refund, my SD tickets have a "refund" box to click. The LA show does not. So I emailed Ticketmaster and said I want a refund for the LA show. I also said the email I got from PJ says they are offering refunds for BOTH shows. They responded and said they are going to refund me once the event organizes refund them. Said within 30 days. My theory is because I bought Premium tickets for LA, they are making it difficult on us to refund because they, Ticketmaster, are losing a shit ton of money. I paid a grand for 2 tix. Now, I will refund and if I wanted I could re-purchase for $150.

It is weird that TM says they need to get refunded by the event organizer.  In most cases, TM holds the money until right after the event to prevent promoters from skipping town with money before the event takes place.

    Glen is sick.
  • stop testing?  what does that mean?  go ahead and get other people sick?  this is like closing your eyes so the problem doesn't exist.  what a weird and sad way to ber.  the lack of empathy from some people is disturbing.
