Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Josh, Glen + any and all others who caught Covid on this tour. I know these shows were a bellweather for scheduling the delayed Gigaton dates. Just thinking….not a good sign.
I’m trying to get a refund from Ticketmaster as I’m now unable to attend the new date in LA tomorrow. They’re saying refunds ended after 2/21 and I’m now out $500. Does anyone have any insight into how to get a refund?
This tells me they lost out a lot on sales in the rescheduling.
No, there were already a ton of tickets available before they rescheduled. This is a result of too many "Platinum" tickets that the promoter held back, thinking they'd be able to scalp them and a result of the already high ticket prices, combined with the fact that anyone in L.A. that wanted to see him was able to see him at Ohana last fall. I'm still debating going tonight. I didn't check my email until this morning, so I missed out on the free tickets, but I'm not interested in paying $60 for nosebleeds or 3-600 for anything decent. Going to see how I feel after work and if they drop the prices at all.
I got lucky. When they rescheduled, I used the opportunity to get a refund on the bullshit platinum tickets I blindly purchased for over a grand. I decided to pass all together on LA as I am going to SD. Then last night the Ohana deal popped up on my instagram page. Then bam, free tickets, good ones too. Better by far then my platinum seats. So road trip tonight to LA and free tix!

Glad it worked out for you. I feel for the people throughout the tour that purchased the high cost Platinum tickets thinking that they were the only ones available to them, only to have better ones much cheaper become available from TM later. As discussed numerous times already, the ticketing practices for this tour sucked. Enjoy the show!

Anyone know what time the opener goes on, and what time Ed goes on?

Platinum ticketing was a disaster for this tour. Sorry for anyone who was price-gouged, but I'm glad to see it backfire on Ticketmaster.
And Ed, quite frankly.
Thanks, at least I didn't pay as much as others, and I only bought platinum tickets for 1 of the 2 shows I went too. Still it was super disheartening paying $550 or whatever it was for a row GG ticket (35ish rows back) just to see platinum's keep getting added every week, to the point they a bunch left in the days before the show and sold a number of them below face value that were really amazing seats.
I get why bands use platinum, everyone makes more money, and it tries to shift that money from scalpers to band/tm/promoter. For this tour it felt like bad faith with how many they allocated to platinum.
At least I went so i didn't eat the tickets. I felt really bad for people that bought plat. tickets and couldn't go. TM get undercutting the prices with cheaper and closer tickets. I'm guessing a number of people were never able to sell their tickets.
If I ever go through this again, I think I need to learn patience on platinum. It's a waiting game.
