What’s your fav new track off earthlings?

I know the album just dropped so many probably haven’t listened yet. But I live in SD and have been treating myself early already.

Ignoring singles for now cause they aren’t technically new to my ear…

“Power of now” fucking rocks. And something about “fallout today” is just so groovy to me.

What say you?

On first listen Invincible (minus the intro) is the most interesting and Power of Right and Fallout Today are the other standouts.

Totally agree. It’s such a treat to have so many great jams on the very first listen

Only had to one listen but I really like the ones you might not expect from Eddie. Invincible rocks but in a different way and seems like a great choice as opener. Love the intro part! Try, Picture and Mrs Mills are catchy and fun while the last track has a beautiful nostalgic connection. Fallout Today is an early favourite of mine. After one listen a couple of the rockers all blend in to one another at this point in time. A couple of them seem a bit meh.

Hard to beat sir Elton. I like it much more than the other collab on Elton’s album “E-ticket”

Invincible is so good. Very unique in its sound and lyrical choices/placement. Perfect opener.

and what is it about fallout today that’s so darn catchy but not in an annoying way

First half is outstanding. The Elton song doesn't fit very well, but all the others sound great! *Love Elton John by the way.

Yeah people harping on Invincible but I like it! Maybe the intro is throwing them off. It did for me at first - but it’s kind of like he’s “opening the show”. On My Way bookends with closing chatter (“Echo Victor”) and callback to some of the songs.

Yep, great way to start and even better way to end. I love the beginning, it’s really cool and the song is awesome to match.

Maybe I loved Invincible because they executed it so well last night and I was wondering "What the hell is this? This is different" and when it took off I loved it. I was thrilled to see it opening the album this morning.

Same here. It's a fantastic live track, but after hearing the studio recording Good and Evil took my #1 spot. Has such a wonderful fuzzy/Scott Pilgrim/QotSA vibe to it.

Top 3: Good and Evil, Invincible, Brother the Cloud

So they gotta debut Good and Evil this tour right? Which of the four remaining shows do we think it will make a showing?

The songs which stand out for me are:

    Invincible
    My Brother the Cloud
    Long Way
    The Haves
All the Way (with Eddie's dear Dad)

As for rest of the album ..  I can take it or leave it at the moment but things might change after a few more listens.

It must have been a tricky album to sequence in terms of track list because there’s quite a bit going on, just trying to make it flow etc…
