He responds. By the way, I have only listened to maybe 2 of his podcast episodes, so I am not some huge Rogan fan. I just think this stand against someone exploring varying expert opinions is silly.

If the stand was purely against spotify for not paying a fair share to artists, then hell yeah, who wouldn’t back that movement?

pretty limp IMO, but I guess you gotta start somewhere. This won't make anyone happy, but maybe thats the correct move.

Sorry no pound of flesh. Maybe next time.

    Most companies.
  • Is there really folks here who don’t know who Nils is damn he’s been playing lead guitar for Springsteen for decades lol and also has a great solo catalog!
3 things I don't listen to.  Nils and Springsteen and Rogan...

I just listened to his response too.  He makes a great point and it's not like he had qanon hacks to interview, these were real accredited doctors.

Maybe the world has just got to the point where if it's not what I believe then it's all bad?

I said this in the rogan thread, but I'll say it again....it's not about the fact that he doesn't have real doctors/experts on...he does....it's what he says on his podcast when they aren't around.

6 days, 2.5 older artists and a parental advisory sticker. That's not too shabby considering it's nonsense.

Actually four artists, but who can count?

I don't know. All I'm saying is there is two Joe Rogans: the one who engages with experts on his show and sits there all starry eyed wanting to "learn more", and the bro that chats with his meathead friends jacking about conspiracy theories.

Right but they were better when it was some guy at the end of the bar muttering.  Now they can find fellow travelers on the internet and the craziness compounds.

Rather have "Paul is dead and him walking barefoot on Abbey Road proves it" conspiracy theories than the ones Joe Rogan's Sandy Hook-truther buddies cook up.

Or does the craziness level out bc now there is some sort of checks and balances? Are they truly crazy if others believe it too? Lol

Exactly.  There's this pair of middle aged ladies we run into on the walking trail now and then, and almost every time we see them they point out "chemtrails" in the sky and go off on a weird little tangent.  It's a bit amusing, almost even mildly charming because they are a somewhat cute couple, a little out there, and probably just not well educated.  But they are not on a high profile podcast spreading misinformation about a deadly disease.  Big difference!

I'm not sure where you were going with the 2.5 remark.  I'm not big on disparaging artists (especially of the caliber we're talking about here) so I'll have to pass on a response until I get a better idea of where you're going with this.

This is objectively not what Rogan does and now I don't believe any of the other stuff you couched this statement with.

Seriously AW, do yourself a favor and check out Nils work with Springsteen, Crazy Horse, Grin, and that excellent solo album I mentioned early on page one of this thread.  Maybe try not to underestimate what you haven't experienced next time!

He's not a Sandy Hook hoax kind of guy.  That is just false.
