How is any of this "convenient" for me? I have no vested interest in whether the virus had a zoonotic origin. I have no vested interest in the vaccines being efficacious (I mean, aside from humanity's general interest in the vaccines being efficacious).

Beauty is subjective. It is literally in the eye of the beholder. Whether the virus had or did not have a zoonotic origin is a provable fact. Whether the vaccines have or do not have significant side effects is a provable fact.
